Get Er Done
Get Er Done
If you are the Bills owners and haven't called Mike Tomlin and said how much and for how long do you wan't , you dserve to keep losing in the playoffs every season.
Re: Get Er Done
Tomlin was fired for the same thing McDermott was, not winning in the playoffs. Owners should have kept both of them, but if you fire McDermott, you don't hire Tomlin.
Re: Get Er Done
Technically Tomlin wasn't fired, he resigned. Which means that Pittsburgh retains his rights and if Buffalo (or any other team) wanted to hire him they would have to trade Pittsburgh for him.
Re: Re: Get Er Done
I think Tomlin wants to take a break for at least a year. However, Josh Allen would be the one QB that could possibly lure him. I read Daboll will be a top candidate for the Bills and Allen probably endorses him.
Re: Get Er Done
You don't want Mike Tomlin. He's basically Sean McDermott in terms of playoff success. He won most of his playoff games and Super Bowl with Cowher's team.
Re: Re: Get Er Done
I'm a huge Steelers fan and I agree, you DON'T WANT TOMLIN! I've seen way too many games where the team looked completely unprepared. He's a defensive coach and with all of the talent they have/had on defense (highest paid in the league) they continually ranked near the bottom in defensive metrics. Most overrated coach in football.
Unless you enjoy going 9-8 every year and getting waxed in the playoffs, then he's the man for your team!

Re: Get Er Done
And the two aren't the same in the playoffs. The Bills lost to the Chiefs a couple of times in AFC Championship games. McDermott hasn't made a Super Bowl but he has at least won a bunch of playoff games. I don't think Tomlin had won a playoff games since that Super Bowl. Granted he hasn't had a QB in forever.
