A1 - If you're INACTIVE for 14 days, I'll Remove you from the league. This minimizes the FUN. Learn to browse leagues before you jump in them. If you want to join, stay active.
A2 - Always try to improve your team in some FUN manner. Rebuilding is a form of improving.
A3 - NO PLAYERS can Play 'Out of Position', It's not acceptable. I'll make Lineup changes for you. If it continues to happen, I'll remove you from the league. (Only exception is if there is an Injured Player, and the Computer inserts a bench player in the lineup until Regular comes back)
A4 - There'll be NO changing of TEAM NAMES or LOGOS.

ABOUT THE LEAGUE:

The WMBL is based on the actual League in Canada, that formed in 1931, with a few adjustments to make it more enjoyable. The players in this league will play for 12 seasons. Players start at 21 years old, and progress until 25 then decline at 28, and then retire after age 32 season.

The only way any Team will move down a spot, is if the #12 Team loses in the Final. All Teams will go back to their original Draft spot, unless a Team, other than #12 Wins the Lottery.

LEAGUE SETUP:
=============
1) - SIM SCHEDULE: I'll Sim two times per day. One Morning Sim of 6 Games (between 6 - 9 am EST) also 1 Night Sim of 5 Games (between 5 - 9 pm EST). Every now and then Times could fluctuate.
- Regular Season will last 13 Days.
- Playoffs will last 4 to 6 Days, depending on Sweeps.
2) - ALL STAR TIME: There'll be 4 Days Off Granted for the All Star break. The All Star break is a time where you can make Lineup and Rotation changes to your team for the stretch run.
* We will 'Not' play an All Star game, as there is only One league.
All Stars will be picked by the computer. All Star team will be made up of 25 players. Team will be made up of 5 SP 5 RP a starter at C 1B 2B 3B SS OF OF and OF with a backup at each infield position as well as 2 additional OF.
** There'll be 1 DH All Star, for players with their "Primary Position as DH Only", The commish will select the DH to the AS team, it'll be the DH with the highest OPS. It'll be this way every year we have DH qualified players, for "Primary DH Only" players. For example, if you have a primary position OF as your DH, he doesn't qualify.
3) - TIEBREAKERS: Head to Head then Power Rankings will determine the Tiebreakers.
4) - TRADING: You are LIMITED to '3' trades per season. Draft picks can be Traded. Trades will be monitored. I'll VETO a trade, if I feel it's unfair to the rest of the league.
* In this League you will only be able to Trade draft picks for the upcoming draft only.
4a) - Trading an All Star: If you trade an All Star for another All Star that's fine. ( Current Season All Stars only )
(((*** This only applies for a 52 game stretch each year ***)))
* However, if you trade an All Star for a Non All Star then there will be guidelines to follow.
The Trade will go through, and the Team Dealing the All Star will get Compensation. Here is the chart to see what you receive for Compensation.
------- 1 - Trading a Starting A.S. will get a 1st Rd Pick, from Team you Deal with.
------- 2 - Trading a Backup A.S. will get a 2nd Rd Pick, from Team you Deal with.
(((*** If you Trade an All Star for a Draft Pick, then there'll be *NO COMPENSATION* awarded. As you're already receiving a Draft Pick ***)))
4b) - Trade Deadline: Will be after Game 118. The Deadline Time will be 6 AM EST, the following Day. All Trades must be in by that time or will be Voided.
4c) - Trading the First overall selection (#1 pick only): Team will receive whoever they were traded for, if any...plus Team will receive the next 2 first round picks and the following 2 second round picks. This is for the entire career of the #1 picked player. The player can be traded unlimited times all resulting in the following compensation.

* So at the very least you'll get 4 players over a 4 year stretch, and possibly more if you receive any players initially.
** This is to keep a better balance in the league. This also makes everyone think about, is this trade good for me.
*** Teams that don't have a first round pick in the current draft are prohibited from making a trade for a former #1 overall pick.
**** List of the Leagues #1 Picks can be viewed on the History page.
***** Trading a #1 Pick for another #1 Pick is fine.
5) - CONTRACTS: No Contracts, you keep the players until you Release, Trade or the Player Retires.
6) - ROOKIE DRAFT: Each year Before Free Agents open up, we'll have a 3 Round "SLOW DRAFT". Draft order will be based on Previous Seasons Standings. This is the Main Draft. *New Rookies* from ML Season that we are in next 1981, 1982 etc., plus "All FA" will be part of this Draft. We'll pull Rookies from the same year, 2 years in a row.

* FA will be inserted in the Draft, at the start of the 2nd Rd each year.
** There will 'NEVER' be a "LIVE DRAFT"
*** Positions imported will be 3 C, 3 1B, 3 2B, 3 SS, 3 3B, 9 OF, 2 DH, 10 SP & 6 RP.
**** Any SP with less than 80 stamina, will be adjusted to 80 stamina.
6a) - ROOKIE REQUIREMENTS: Rookies coming into the league will have to have 175 PA for hitters and 100 IP for a SP or 30 to 99.2 IP for a RP. Any SP pitcher with less than 100 IP will be turned into a RP. A player with less than these totals will be deleted from the league and will have to wait to play until they meet these requirements.
* Rookies will be Imported after Game 132
6b) - SLOW DRAFT RULES:

If Commish picked both Rounds then the times would be 1 PM, 7 PM & 4 AM, if we have 3 Round drafts. This is to keep everyone HAPPY, and to keep the League moving at a nice pace. Rank your players, and I'll Use your list during the Slow Draft (check Rule 6c below). If you haven't logged on in 2 days, Commish will make a selection.
6c) - FOR OWNERS WHO HAVEN'T RANKED PLAYERS:

During all "SLOW DRAFTS ONLY", if you haven't ranked any players, instead of Auto picking, Commish will pick a "Position of Need Player" going by my judgment with the highest OPS, if a batter is chosen or the player with the lowest H/9, if a pitcher is chosen. Some owners aren't always able to get to a computer during the time frame they have to make their pick.
* This should help keep the League strong.
6d) - (REAL MLB) HALL of FAME PLAYERS & OUR DRAFTS #1 PICK ONLY: If you draft a (REAL MLB) HOF player, or have the #1, #2 or #3 pick in any Draft Starting in 1935, you have the choice to choose any 1 of the players first 5 (Real Life) seasons, as the season he will use as his Rookie Year. Click the arrow next to the players name, then click 'other seasons available' to check the players first 5 seasons.
* It has to be a Qualified Year. Batter 175 PA, SP 100 IP, RP 30- 99.2 IP.
This gives "Real Life HOF players" & "#1/#2/#3" picked players a better chance for better numbers. Also, a chance for lesser teams to possibly improve faster. Some years it may not help improve the players at all, but at least there's a chance for some help.
There'll be a list of "New" HOF Members entering the following Draft, on the home page at the All Star Break.
** The Original group of HOF players, also were given their best year of their first three real professional years as their inaugural season.
7) - FREE AGENTS: Before the season starts, usually a day after the Draft Free Agency will open. The Time will be most likely be at 8 pm est. Free Agents will close before the Playoffs Start.
8) - THE COMMISH: The goal is to have a strong, fun, realistic, competitive league! My team is the Cranbrook Eds. Sometimes I may have to take over a team just to keep them active.
* Any Un-owned team is available by request. First come First served.
9) - AWARDS: All Awards will be given 'After' the Regular Season.
Deciding the "Canadian Horse" (MVP): From the Awards page, the Top player will be awarded.
Deciding the "Coat of Arms" (Top Pitcher): From the Awards page, the Top player will be awarded.

9a) - ON FIRE - WMBL, will 'Not' use On Fire Points.
9b) - Mounty (MGR of the Year) - Most Wins (H2H, then Power Rankings decide Tie).
9c) - Fireman Award - (DICE) DEFENSE-INDEPENDANT COMPONENT ERA: Definition - Measures a pitcher's effectiveness based only on plays that do not involve fielders: home runs allowed, strikeouts, hit batters, and walks.
- Starting Pitchers can Win this award, if they have Started ZERO Games.
9d) - STARS & TROPHIES:
- Mounty (MGR of the Year) - Star Awarded (1 Owner)
- Division Winner - Star Awarded (2 Owners)
- Wild Card Winner - Star Awarded (2 Owners)
- Hallis Cup - Trophy Awarded (1 Owner)
9e) - SP and RP Stamina Limits - This is when they will start to tire.

* You may edit your Rotation to keep your SP in After, When or Before their pitch count is up.
9f) - W.M.B.L. HALL of FAME: - Opens in 1952, every 5th year, a new class of HOF will be named, if any (follow parameters below).
9g) - PLAYERS RETIREMENT HAT: Will be the Hat the player played most with. In the event of a Tie, the Team the Player played "First" with will be the Team Hat he wears, unless he had more Awards with the other team he's tied with, if inducted into the HOF or, if he is listed on any All Time List.
- To Qualify for the HOF for the first 20 years (1971), a player must meet these requirements:
Minimum - Batters 4,000 ab, SP 1,000 ip & RP 500 ip
Top 8 in 2 major categories, or 10x All Star, or 3x Canadian/Coat of Arms or 4x Fireman Winner
Batting - R, H, 2B, 3B, HR, RBI, SB, AVG, OBP, SLG & OPS
Pitching - W, SP-ERA, Both-ERA, SP-WHIP, Both-WHIP, SO, SHO & SV

* Older players can still get in when lists expand, if they still qualify.
10) - ROSTER SIZE: 25 player Major League Team, 10 player Minor League Team.
10a) - Injuries can reach up to 40 games.
10b) - We'll also be using a 5 MAN PITCHING ROTATION. Teams must have 5 SP on their Major Roster.
10c) - Slump Buster has a limit of 3 Days.
10d) - RETIREMENT - Players Retire after they play Age 32.
11) - ROOKIES: Rookies will be Tagged. To Win the Bronze Baby, the player must've had 300 AB or 100 IP, unless the player is a Relief Pitcher. Relief Pitchers must have 40 IP to Qualify, also Players must only be 21 y/o.
- At Seasons end, the Commish will pick a Winner, Co-winners will be accepted.
12) - 'SP' CONVERTED TO 'RP': Permanent Move! One Conversion every Four Years. These requests must be made before the regular season starts.
* Players Must be 25 years old.
** Owners can message the commish with the subject ?SP to RP Conversion?, & the full name of the pitcher he wants to convert.
*** This process is manual, here are guidelines to have an idea of what to expect.
- Stamina will drop significantly (75%)
- ERA will drop (10%)
- W, L?s and IP?s will drop as needed to make sense (est. 50%)
- BB/9 and H/9 will drop (5% & 10%)
- K/9 will improve (25%)
- CG stats will zero out.

12a) - "Beginning in 1935" 'RP' CONVERTED TO 'SP': Permanent Move! One Conversion every Four Years. These requests must be made before the regular season starts. (Check Baseball Reference) to find out if your pitcher had 50 career starts.
* Players must be 25 years old, and made (50 Real Life) career starts in MLB.
** Owners can message the commish with the subject ?RP to SP Conversion?, & the full name of the pitcher he wants to convert.
*** This process is manual, here are guidelines to have an idea of what to expect.
- Stamina will improve (275%), no less than 80 and no more than 115
- ERA will increase (20%)
- W, L?s will increase (100%), (200%, * if W, L's are 5 or below)
- IP will increase (100%), no less than 100 IP, (200%, *if IP are below 50)(300%, * if IP are below 33)
- BB/9 and H/9 will increase (125% each), (225%, * if IP are below 50)(325%, * if IP are below 33)
- K's will increase (100%), (200%, * if IP are below 50)(300%, * if IP are below 33)
- CG/WP stats will increase 1 for every 100 IP
- SV stats will zero out

***** Rule 12 & 12a, once a pitcher is converted, either to a RP or a SP, he will stay that way for the History of his career, regardless, if a New Team acquires him.
13) - STADIUM RENOVATIONS: Before the beginning of each year, you can edit either LHB or RHB by one step. One side only per Year.

14) - Try to check in frequently, this league will have injuries that could result in players missing up to 40 games. Some players will need to be rested. This information can be found on your team page. If you aren't available to make these adjustments the computer will do it for you automatically. The more participation and interaction makes the WMBL, a more enjoyable and competitive league.
