Rosters: Rosters for each team were imported for the given year in the team name using a minimum of 15 AB's and 15 innings. The threshold will be 25 and 25 for season two in order to get a free agent pool going for the supplemental draft. Low thresholds were needed in order to meet minimum roster requirements. Moving forward season 3 and beyond, Minimums will be 75 AB's and 35 innings. Stats for players with fewer than 200 AB's and 30 innings will be doubled immediately. Roster max of 40(25-15). Some teams are a bit low on players. As a result players rated 60 and lower were imported from the 66 Yankees, 75 Tigers, 77 Braves, and 85 Giants and placed into the free agent pool. All rosters will be cut to 35 and then a 3 round supplemental draft will occur before season 1. This will get all rosters to 38. From there rosters may be raised to 40 using the waiver system once games start. Note: Pittsburgh, California, and Philadelphia have a small number of players from the previous season on their rosters because they were quite short.
Progressions: Will be run in classic mode following the playoffs. Standard progression will be until age 28 with regression starting at 33.
Playoffs: Two division winners and two wild cards for each league. Divisional round will be best of 5. LCS round best of 7. World Series best of 7. Team with the better regular season record gets home field in playoff rounds regardless of regular season divisional status. 2-3-2 Home, Road, Home format for 7 game series. 2-2-1 for 5 game series.
Tiebreakers: If two teams tie for the division lead the division will be decided based on the head-to-head record between the two teams during the season. If the two teams split the season series, then pythagorean record will be used to determine the division winner.
If two teams tie for the first wild card, the order of first and second wild card will be determined based on the head-to-head record of the two teams during the season. If the two teams split the season series, the pythagorean record will be used to determine the wild card order.
If two teams tie for the final wild card, a play-in game will occur to determine final playoff team, regardless of the season series results.
Supplemental Draft: Season 1: Rosters will cut to 35 prior to the season. All teams will participate in a 3-round supplemental draft to get rosters to 38. From there waivers may be used to get rosters to 40 for the season. Draft order will be determined by the random feature.
Season 2 and beyond: Following progressions and imports owners will be asked to cut rosters to 40. Once this is complete supplemental draft ranking will be turned on.
Slump Busters: 5 Day Maximum.
Sims: Every 6 hours.
Free Agent Pickups: Waivers will be turned on in reverse order of record after the sixth game of the season. One pickup per cycle.
Trades: 25 per season Max.
Trade Deadline (Day 121)
Duplicates: If a player is new to the franchise the duplicate will be allowed even if the player is in the league elsewhere. If the player has been with the franchise before the player will not remain.
Franchise Player Upgrade: We all know what a bummer it is when a real-life star comes in and because he had 77 at bats his rookie year and had 14 hits with 1 HR he stinks, but then in year 2 he hit .350 with 45 HR's. Each season you may upgrade 1 player on your team to any season from their career (i.e. Roger Clemens comes along as a rookie at 4.32 with a WHIP of 1.31, but your staff is loaded so you want to accelerate him to his third real MLB season 2.48, 0.96 WHIP). Jerry Koosman is past his prime in 1981 so you shift him back to 1969. Note: If you move a player to a younger age in the season selected than your player's current age in the sim, your player will maintain the older age (i.e. Koosman would remain 38 but with the improved 1969 stats). A team may elect to wait to select a franchise player until after the supplemental draft. The selection must, however, occur prior to the start of the season.
A player may not be shifted more than once. A player being shifted forward in time would increase in age (i.e. were I to shift Kent Hrbek on my team from 1981 to 1984 this season he would age from 21 to 24). You may only move a player to a season in which he had more than 200 at-bats or 35 innings. A player may not shift back in time to a season in which they were originally imported (i.e. Steve Carlton may not shift back to 1972 if he was an original 1972 import).
Sorry for the confusion on all this.
Position Changes: Are not available. The one exception is if you have a franchise player that you change. (i.e. Joe Smith played 2b/3b in 1970 but he is your franchise player and you want to shift to a different season and he is 3b/2b, you must live with that change).
Rotation: 5-Man
Retirements: Free agents age 40 or older. New Rule (season 11): Julio Franco- Jamie Moyer Rule. Any hitter will retire after his age 48 season (the oldest age at which Julio Franco played in the modern era). Any pitcher will retire after his age 49 season (the oldest age at which Jamie Moyer pitched in the modern era).
Low rank cuts: starting in Season 3, players who are free agents and who are rated 25 or lower will be retired following the season and following the final roster cut-downs after the supplemental draft. This is done to keep rankings from overinflating.

1.) Retire free agents over 40 or ranked under 25 (round 1)
