Never in a competitive 30-team custom league have I had a regular season with this many wins. Longest losing streak was two. Five win streaks of 10 or more games, 17 the longest. Reliever Scott Elarton finished 23-0 (only 3rd in Cy voting).

That's one of the best seasons I've ever seen - really cool. Tough to do in such a big active league - congrats. I won 130 once in an auto league years ago (not the same accomplishment) and yes, promptly lost in the 1st round. Let us know how it goes

Congratulations Dave. We also had a number of 100-loss teams in that league which I expect is to be expected.

Knew it. Was 30 games ahead of next-best team and didn't lose more than two games in a row all year, but swept in the LCS. Crazy

Well Dave, I share your disappointment. I too have experienced the play-off curse. The play-offs are a crap shoot and you and I are not alone. Many other members have shared the same thing.

One more note on the original post - daveH won the Championship in this league, MLB: Throwback, in 1997, 98 and 99. In '00 he won 119 games and didn't make the WS and then in '01 he wins 133 and doesn't make the WS. Personally, I would be real happy winning a very competitive league 3 out of 5 seasons. I would recommend backing off, winning just enough to make the playoffs, and then you're a shoo in for next year 😉😉😉😎😎😎

Important to remember the curse is alive and well in the real world. Before the playoff system started The WS was always the best in one league against the best in the other. Then in 1969 that all changed. Division play, LCS, etc. Now you just have to get hot at the right time. That's the curse of the short series.
