Auto League MVP Pick Opinions

Auto League MVP Pick Opinions

So, I'm in an auto favorite team league, and I wasn't exactly a fan of the leagues MVP pick. I'll leave stats here and hopefully you all have some opinions on it.

Mark Mcgwire (Winner): .324/.420/.762 203 hits 33 doubles 4 triples 78 Hrs 191 rbi 110 BB 169 SO

Juan Soto (Runner up): .346/.444/.768 214 hits 75 doubles 2 triples 59 Hrs 170 rbi 109 BB 101 SO

Bob Hamelin (3rd place): .288/.365/.653 182 hits 38 doubles 1 triple 62 Hrs 155 rbi 79 BB 110 SO

I know there's a significant drop off between second and third, but let me know what you all think about this. Who should've won?

Re: Auto League MVP Pick Opinions

Mcgwire 21 more RBI than Soto that’s why he won. They both did great.

Re: Auto League MVP Pick Opinions

This is too close to care about. It's not like it was a 50 point OBP difference.

Im not a big fan of a DH winning the award, but Soto's -19 defensive value was missing in the facts above.

Re: Re: Auto League MVP Pick Opinions

I agree that is is a pick your preference situation. Neither is the "clear" winner. I would be fine with either being MVP.

Re: Re: Auto League MVP Pick Opinions

Defensive value isn't a factor in choosing the MVP, but yes, I did forget to include that.

Re: Auto League MVP Pick Opinions

Is this an auto league? With the formula?

Or a custom where the Commish or League vote picked the MVP?

If Auto... the formula is the formula. Gbacci borrowed a relatively well-known formula.

Re: Re: Auto League MVP Pick Opinions

It's an auto league, really I just wanted to see the general opinion. It was a pretty close race and I wanted to see who everyone thought should've won. The formula isn't a problem for me, just wanted to see general opinions on it.

Re: Auto League MVP Pick Opinions

it's really close, 78 HRs, 75 doubles are crazy numbers. Since dWar is the king in PC, I would like to see defense play a part in MVP & all stars
