Kevin Cash World Series M V P

Kevin Cash World Series M V P

Ive been watching baseball since the 1975 world series. i was 8 and my parents let me stay up to watch the end of game 6 with fisk walk off homer. i was a fan of the reds but even then i realized that was one for the history books. That being said , i have never seen a pitcher in a ws game dominate more than Snell did tonight. 9 ks in 5 ip nobody was touching him. in the 6th he gives up a hit and cash pulls him immediatley? what was he thinking? dodger fans everywhere will toast his name for years to come. biggest mistake by a manager ever

Re: Kevin Cash World Series M V P

Grady Little thinks it was a great move.

Re: Kevin Cash World Series M V P

Similar to when Joe maddon pulled hendricks in game 7 after a walk and 4 innings and lester gave up like 2 runs in relief.

Re: Kevin Cash World Series M V P

especially to put in your reliever doing the worst in the postseason. I love you Kevin Cash!

Re: Re: Kevin Cash World Series M V P

In defense of Cash, he's done that all year and his managing of their pitching staff is a big reason why the Rays were in that situation. He's got a stable full of guys who throw 99. And though Nick Anderson didn't have a great playoff run, he's been outrageously effective since coming to TB (37 innings, 17 hits, 5 walks, 77 ks). And the last time Blake Snell went 6 innings was 7/21/2019. So there was reasoning behind his move but it didn't work out.

Re: Kevin Cash World Series M V P

Greatest pitched game I personaly saw (on TV) was by Koufax in the '65 WS. He ended up tossing a three-hit shutout, striking out ten in one of the greatest Game 7 pitching performances ever - and on 2 days rest !! I was 14 at the time.

Re: Re: Kevin Cash World Series M V P

at some point they can't keep running the same guys out there day after day. guys will fatigue and performance will suffer. anderson threw what, 2 less innings in the playoffs than in the 60 game regular season? lots of these games come down to which other wordly RP craps his pants in like their 12th appearance over a 15-16 day stretch it seems, aka modern day baseball. (and my numbers regarding appearances are completely unresearched and may quite possibly be exaggerated to prove a point)

Re: Kevin Cash World Series M V P

We on PC especially know how effective Anderson has been in 2020, as we'll be using him a ton in Auto Leagues.

Re: Re: Kevin Cash World Series M V P

Blake Snell and the starting pitching miss match was the reason why Tampa Bay had a good chance to win yesterday...

He was throwing a masterpiece . He was in the same zone that made Baumgarner, Jack Morris, Schilling, Randy Johnson great.

Unfortunately, baseball nerds overmanaged the game and probably prevented a niece piece of history yesterday. They can't make good use of a horse when he brings is A game, there is just no books
that can help them when moments like this occurs..

Every tv analyst knew it was wrong, all the viewers on tv knew it was wrong, all the players from both teams knew it was wrong, all the fans in the stadium knew it was wrong, the popcorn seller knew it was wrong, the mascot knew it was wrong, the guy who is throwing peanuts knew it was the wrong move... but they did it again... because that's what stup&%$ people do, they make the same mistakes over and over again...

They did it with Greinke last year, they overused and blown Andrew Miller couple years ago...

Cash is taking the heat for just applying what he is being told to apply by bunch of people who are contributing on killing the game, they simply have no feel for what is going on on the field...

They cut short on an extroardinary performance yesterday. Because of these dudes, Snell will never be able to have his moments and shine in the biggest showcase possible. No offices, no managers are bigger than the game. Players are winning ball games and making that game great...not the analytics nerds...

Good riddance
