A player being on the DL doesn't stop the AI from using him or, in this case, cause a drop in performance? What's the point?

Re: Players on DL

If a player is on the DL he will not play he can't Period - so I guess you must be seeing something wrong- they show up highlighted in Yellow to warn you they are hurt

No, there were 2 actually, both showed up on DL prior to last sim, yet they both played.

Re: Players on DL

Keeping it a mystery isn’t helping us help you. What specific players?

I checked the past 5 or so games and only injury I could find was Helton, who then missed 3 games.

Re: Re: Players on DL

I think you may be looking at the wrong Teams Brian- he only has 2 teams - one has played 5 games the other 12 and he has a total of 17 games played all time

I think he is seeing something wrong, and I can't even find Todd Helton on either Team...

Re: Players on DL

He gave the league number just not the players. I don’t think he was complaining about players on his own team playing hurt.

Re: Re: Players on DL

well that would make sense, it would be nice if days on DL were documented somewhere, but they are not.

Re: Players on DL

he's been on this site for 4 days. im guessing he mistakes the rest needed as injuries

Re: Players on DL

No mrbubbles, rest only applies to pitchers. Hitters never need rest under any circumstances in auto leagues. They would only get injured to appear in the same spot as pitchers needing rest, and they would show up in yellow on that list

Re: Re: Players on DL

i know that, however in the list it says player out, hes new probably confused

Re: Players on DL

Be happy to help figure it out if I knew the players. Teamwork.

At the top of the team page (for those not here longer than 4 days) there is a red menu that runs from left to right. One of the options on that menu is labeled "Moves." When this is clicked using the mouse or computer touch pad, or finger on some systems, one of the options that appears magically is "DL." When that is chosen using the techniques already mentioned, it shows players supposedly on the DL. Zimmerman was on that list prior to the 12th games sim yet he appeared in that game.

Re: Players on DL

There are two Zimmermans but I think you mean Jeff. In game 11 he pitched in relief and was the last RP left so he went way past pitch count. This made him need multiple days off, not really injured, but I guess that shows up on DL list. In the next game, the same thing happened, all the RPs got used up and Zimmerman had to pitch again. This would never happen with a batter on DL, and I believe that Zimmerman technically wasn’t hurt but shows up on DL page because he needed multiple days of rest. I see he’s there again now but I think it’s because he needs 5 days rest and I believe he would again enter the game if the team ran out of other options. This is a special thing done with RPs only so a team can recover from endlessly tired pitchers after consecutive long games.

Ah. Appreciate the explanation.

Re: Players on DL

like i said...

Re: Re: Players on DL

this got me to thinking, there was a post earlier about connecting this site to twitter etc. obviously nobody cares whos a free agent in another league. but since there are so many newcomers this year due to covid or just due to the greatness of the site, it gave me an idea. what if we made a wiki like section of pc that could answer all the general ?'s of pc for all the newcomers or just things that never come up. then gbacci or others could vote on the authenticity of the thread and it would be added or deleted.and while were at it why is there no all time single game record book for stats. every game is recorded, shoudnt be that hard

Re: Players on DL

we could call it gbaccipedia
