Protocol question

Protocol question

Is it unacceptable or strategically smart to, with a great FA pool, sign all the good players who will never get played to prevent the improvement of rivals? I have 27 spots open prior to fa...

Re: Protocol question

If you outbid other teams for FA there's really no issue.

Re: Re: Protocol question

Not bidding this is at beginning of midseason fa

Re: Protocol question

Then I would question what league has a team with 27 open roster spots that they dont need and great FAs available that they dont have to pay for.

Re: Re: Protocol question

Ita a wallercrawler league. Keep in mind i cant go into too much detail to preserve the plan. :) Thanks for the help yankee!

Re: Protocol question

Waller's a top commish so I'm sure everything will be just fine.

Re: Re: Protocol question

Done. Of course, i have to get rid of 10 of the 65 players prior to Spring Training ending, so i'll trade 'em. For ST, gotta love my 16-man bench! And the 40 pitchers i carry

Re: Protocol question

Right, so the point here is, Waller likely already had TWO rounds of FA bidding, and these are the players no one decided to bid on. I doubt you are hurting other teams too much. Not the ones paying attention anyway.

Re: Re: Protocol question

Of course. But there was an 88-rank SS available!

Re: Protocol question

Avila, Remember you are only allowed the 40 majors and 25 minors in spring training. That is 65 players which you know have. Before the regular season starts you will need to drop down to 25 majors and 25 minors. That is 15 players you will have to drop.

Re: Re: Protocol question
