On fire

On fire

How can you tell who was on fire for a particular game? Is it in the box score?

Re: On fire

If you "watch" the game, batters that are on fire have an animated flame instead of the usual bat-and-ball image when they're at the plate.

Other than that, I have no idea how you'd tell. I'm very new here though, hopefully someone else will chime in with a better answer.

Re: Re: On fire

On Fire is illustrated by the "Fire instead of the Bat and Ball as the last owner said. It is not noted in the box score.

Pitchers can also be on fire but that is not indicated anywhere except on the League Home page in the recaps - it may say "Chris Sale was on fire (or Brilliant) last night striking out 10 and allowing only 2 hits over 8 innings"

Re: On fire

Hopefully we can one day see if a pitcher was on fire, either in the box or in the replay...it would give a lot more context to their performances!

Re: Re: On fire

Is there always one player on fire for each team every game?

Re: On fire

No there isn’t. Sim goes through the lineup in order. If leadoff guy has 14 fire, 14% chance of being on fire. If he isn’t, it goes to next in lineup and so on. Once a batter is determined on fire it stops. So for hitters, max of one per game. But sometimes they all miss. In that case a player off the bench could be. For pitchers it’s different, every pitcher that comes in the game could be on fire, to my understanding.
