League Rules
The Lighter Side of BaseballThis is an automated daily draft type league. It is a custom league set up to feel like one of the auto leagues. The player pool will be 1871-2021.
-Once the league fills, a draft round will run once every four hours until all teams have 23 players. Once the draft is complete games will begin! Waivers will open after game 6. Once the roster are full, waivers will be closed
Waivers will consist of one FA pick-up at a time. There will be no open free agency.
-Active roster will consist of 25 players with 5 players avail in your minors.
-This league will clear the rosters except for contract players before the beginning of each new season and redraft. The draft order for the up coming season will be based on last seasons standing. Play-offs will not be used to determine your draft position.
- We will use a 5 man rotations
- Slump busters will be limited to 10 games
- Fatigue and injuries will not be used.
- You will have the option to sign 5 players. Players must be signed a minimum of 2 seasons and a max of 4 seasons. There will be no renewal of contracts. New owners will have the options to cut 3 contracts from their roster.
-Contract player progression. All contract players will be progressed with C progression as long as they are under contract. They will progress until age 29 and start regression at age 31. Retirement age is 40
-When a new owner takes over vacant team, the new owner has to option to keep any of the present team contracts.
-Play-offs. The division winners will be seated #1 and #2 with the next best 6 teams will be seated #3-#8 in the play-offs. All rounds will use the 7 game format 2-3-2. Three days off will be given at the beginning of each new series and 1 game off for travel between home and home during any play-off round.
-Other rules may be added later.
