PC (March) Madness :: Ca$h PC

Neither gbacci nor pennantchase.com are responsible for cash prizes, Venmo transactions, or any other aspect of Ca$h PC. Any dispute that occurs in "Ca$h PC" will be settled solely by ragingsol.
PRIZE $$
● Total Prize Money available: $12 or $24 USD.
● All GMs who remained in Madness from 2022 will receive $24 USD, any GM who joined in 2024 will receive $12.
● The Champion GM wins the sole cash prize.
● Champion GM must have a Venmo account, for prize money transfer.
● Venmo is a free app that enables either free or low-fee transfers of monies between two private parties.
● GMs with star by name in bracket remained in league since previous PC (March) Madness tournament.
PRESS RELEASE
2004 PC (March) Madness
● One Tournament. One champion.
● Tournament begins on March 21, 2024.
● 32 GMs compete in March Madness.
● Double elimination, seeded tournament.
● The "Double Elimination" means losing two 7-game series.
● All rosters are identical, composed of 72 athletes likely to play in the NCAA Men's and Women's Basketball Tournaments.
● See Home page list or a player's card in Free Agents to see basketball position / NCAA team / height / weight / collegiant year / jersey number.
GM RESPONSIBILITIES
■ Set line-ups, set strategy.
● No draft, no contracts, no trades, no progressions.
SEEDING
● The tournament is seeded, with teams in four equally dispersed Regions.
● Seeding Method: Seeds are in flux until shortly after full PC Madness field locks in; Commish has final call on seeds.
• Seeds are determined by each GM's PC career stats and by when GM joined the tournament. Joining earlier results in a higher seed, for purely logistical reasons.
• Seeds will be finalized at least 24 hours before tip-off (first pitch).
SERIES' STRUCTURES & HOME TEAM
■ Best of 7 series with home/away of 2/2/1/1/1.
● Higher seed is home team in all rounds.
• "Edit Team Details", all GMs can change their Park Effects to whatever they desire, any time.
THE FAIL-SAFE
● If a GM fails to set a line-up by the first pitch of the fourth game of his/her "Round of 32" series, that GM forfeits the series; the opponent will automatically advance to the Sweet Sixteen.
● "Fails to set a line-up" is strictly defined as: On a team's "Lineup" page, both "VR w/DH" and "VL w/DH" reads "NA" for all players under "POS" and the rotation and bullpen are not set in any way.
● Any move made in regard to line-up, rotation, or bullpen (including using "CPU Quick Set") qualifies as setting a line-up.
IF GM QUITS
● GM will be replaced, if possible, without altering the Seed given to the departed GM.
● If GM cannot be replaced, the scheduled opponent will receive a bye to the next round.
GAME-PLAY
● DAYS OFF:
♦ 5 days off granted ONLY BETWEEN tournament rounds. No days off for travel during series.
● SURPRISE BUNT:
♦ All Rounds: Set to a max of "Often."
● PARK EFFECTS:
♦ Park Effects can be changed at any time, even between games.
● SIMS:
♦ User Sims on, every 6-12 hours.
● INJURIES:
♦ Position Players: 3 games.
♦ Pitchers: 5 games.
● FATIGUE:
♦ Fatigue off.
● TRADES:
♦ Trades off.
● SLUMP BUSTER:
♦ Slump Buster on Unlimited.
● ROTATIONS:
♦ 5 person rotations (like PC Auto Leagues).
