League Rules

SEASON 3 LEAGUE RULES
During season one, we all drafted full 2019 rosters. Now, we will keep some players and re-draft the others.

CONTRACTS
Each team can sign up to 12 players with their 175 million dollar budget. Players can be signed for a max of 4 years and then must become free agents.

SUBSEQUENT YEARS
We will add one additional contract and $10 million each season for 5 seasons, so eventually we will have $225 for 17 players. The rest of the roster must be filled via the draft.

DRAFT
The unsigned players will become free agents and can be drafted. We will do 10 rounds in the live draft room as a slow draft. First couple rounds will allow max of 24 hours per pick, then we'll move to an 8-hour limit during the daylight hours. We will finish rosters with free agency or a supplemental draft if needed.

PROGRESSION
Players will all progress under the "Classic" progression and regress starting at age 29.

TRADES
We will now allow trading, but since this is a 60-game season, only two trades per team. (Unfair trades as deemed by the commish or the majority of the league will be rolled back.) You can go over budget with a trade, but that will impact your ability to sign your current players.

RETIREMENTS
At age 42 we will retire players, and add rookies as needed. Rookies will be added from 2020 if any players retire. If the rookie's age is over 23, he will be set to age 23.

SEASON 1's RULES:
DRAFT
Each team will draft two 2019 rosters. The draft will be a snake draft.

ROSTERS
Batters must have had at least 125 ABs and pitchers must have thrown at least 25 innings. Will be having votes on what is fair in terms of minimum IPs for starting pitchers. I am leaning toward 85 innings for SP with anyone else eligible for the bullpen.

DUPLICATE PLAYERS
If a player was on two different teams, he can exist more than once in the league. If one team drafts both of a player's teams, he can only exist once.

SCHEDULE
To make it simple, the schedule will be 60 games with a BALANCED schedule.

TRADES
No trading.

FATIGUE AND SLUMP BUSTER
We will play with fatigue on. Slump buster allowed for 14 days.

PLAYOFFS
Two division champs plus four wildcards. The two division champs will get a BYE. Will re-seed by record between rounds. All series 7 games.

DAYS OFF
Every 15 days. So after day 15, day 30, and day 45.

Three days off before playoffs. One day off between playoff rounds.
