- Playoffs
- World Series
- Retirements/progressions
- Free Agency
- Position change requests
- Rookie Draft
Budget
-Each team has a $250 salary- you can go over during offseason but must be back at or under by opening day. If league office has to correct your team being over budget you may lose:
-Players you wanted to keep
-Picks or future prospect/former player requests
-For every $20 a team is over budget on Opening Day, $5 will be removed from the following year's budget.
Team Management
- Every team will have a 40 man roster 25 majors 15 minors
-If team is over on players on opening day they will be given a couple days to correct- if not taken care of league office will correct- you may lose players you wanted to keep and possibly draft picks or future prospects/former player requests.
Majors- all players signed or on expiring contracts
Free Agency
-Every team has 3-4 days to send Free Agent offers to the commissioner.
-All offers need to include: amount given per year, and the amount of years
-At the end of that window, free agents sign to the best offer(I multiply years and amount given)
-No priority bidding. Only offer contracts that you want - assume you may win them all
Trades and Draft Pick Trading
-Trades are unlimited
-Draft pick trading is allowed but only for the next draft(If we are in 2020(last draft was 2019, you can only trade draft picks for the upcoming 2020 draft, not for the after 2021 season draft
Trade Objections:
-Day 1 (Monday, for this example) - trade is made
-End of Day 2 (Tuesday) - any objection by any owner in the league is sent to the commish. At that point, the commish will notify the members of the trade committee (3 owners). If no objection is made by this deadline, the trade will stand.
-End of Day 3 (Wednesday) - if 2 or more trade committee members vote against the trade, it will be reverted. If 2 or more trade committee members vote in favor of the trade or if not enough votes are cast, then the trade will stand.
Contracts
-No contract extensions. At the end of a player's contract, he will automatically go to free agency
-A player's contract can only be bought out if the entirety of the contract is paid out at once.
-Players on the last year of their contract (denoted with a $), May be released without penalty as those contracts are paid in full already.
Position Change
-One position player can be chosen for a secondary position change during each offseason
Rookie Tags
-All rookies that are drafted or free agents who have never played a game in any season are eligible to be tagged.
-If you tag your player, they do not have to be paid as long as they are under 28 years old, and stay in your minor leagues
-Once a rookie plays a game, they are ineligible to be tagged for the rest of their career.
Progression
- Players progress till 28 and decline after 32
- Players retire at age 40 if not signed to contract.
-Once a player is retired from the this league they can not come back
- Players under 100 ABs or 30 IPs for real stat will be retired at season's end if not under contract. They are ineligible for progression. This will help keep player pool minimized.
- Any player that reaches 100 overall ranking before age 28, will have their potential edited to F (that player has achieved the top of our player pool). That same player will return to their original potential at age 32 so their regression is unaffected.
Draft- there are 2 rounds (2 rounds began with 2033 draft)
-All drafts will be made up players from the future. For example, in the draft next year, you will have possible 20 year old studs who don?t exist.
-Rookies will have all progression types
-Draft players stats will depend on how strong/weak the league is becoming
-You will be given plenty of notice prior to the actual draft to pre-rank the players you are interested in if you can?t attend draft.
- If you don?t pre-rank or attend the draft you will be auto picked
-Draft order is based on previous seasons record with ties broken by run differential. World Series Champion picks last regardless of record.
Tanking or Violating rules
-NO TANKING ALLOWED, if u have higher ranked guys that are major league players sitting in minors and your starting low level guys that?s tanking! But if u have prospects in minors and u don?t want to call them up there is leeway with that.
If your caught tanking or violating rules and do not fix it u will lose picks/Prospects
1st offense - 2nd rd pick
2nd offense - 1st rd pick
3rd offense - Prospect(s)
4th offense - Booted from League
Inactivity
- If an owner isn't active on the site for 7 days, the commissioner will reach out to them. If they don't respond or log in within 48 of that, they will be removed from the league
- If an owner hasn't been active for 7 days leading up to clearing of rosters in the offseason, they will be removed in order to allow a new owner to take over at the beginning of the season.
Playoffs
-MLB X League used a league vote to determine following the updated real MLB format that was instituted for the 2022 season. 3 wildcards each league. Two division winners with best record seeded #1 & #2. Next division winner seeded #3. Wildcards seeded #4-#6 by record. Format is: #1 & #2 first round byes; #3 host #6 and #4 host #5 in best 2 of 3 series. #1 plays #4/#5 winner and #2 plays #3/#6 winner (best of 5 w/ lower seed home team game 1, 2 & 5). League championship series and World Series are both best of 7 (better seeded team host game 1, 2, 6 & 7).
-Playoff Tiebreakers…tiebreaker games are NO MORE. Tiebreakers are purely determined by math. 1- head to head; 2- intra-division record (meaning if the team plays in the AL Central then that team’s record vs AL Central teams is used); 3- intra-league record (meaning if the team plays in the AL Central then that team’s record vs AL East + AL West teams is used).
