MLB 2024 League

Down the Stretch They Come!

We're charging towards the finish line! Here are a couple of updates/reminders:
- Sign your players if you want to keep them beyond this season. Rookie tags have been removed from all those that don't qualify, so no $$ or no +, and he's gone. You have until the end of the World Series for this
- Contract buy outs - You have until the end of the World Series to buy out any contracts you don't want to carry forward either. Reminder, you must pay out the contract fully this season, but your budget will reset back to $250 to start next season.
- Trade committee forming. If you'd like to be on the trade committee for next year, please let me know. Send me an email that you're interested along with a quick overview of what you are looking at when evaluating if a trade should stand or not. Trades will turn back on after roster progressions to start next season.
- Free agency. We'll keep free agency the same for this offseason. There wasn't enough overwhelming support in the league poll to change that. We may revisit that again with a new poll next season. **If we get up to 16 yes votes by the end of the World Series, we will change it for this offseason**
- Secondary position changes did pass earlier this season however. Starting thinking about who you want to to switch. This will be part of the offseason activities that I'll detail on the home page at a later time.
- We currently have a couple of teams open. Had to lose some owners due to inactivity. Both the Pirates and Mariners have some good potential moving forward so if you know of another solid, active owner that may want to join, please reach out to him (or her for that matter)
- Finally, I want to thank all of you guys for sticking with this league and with me as I finish up my first season as a commissioner. I know there were some ups and downs but I've learned a ton and am constantly looking to improve the league going forward. More to come on that.

White sox seem to be getting some interesting players as well. I'm just confused what bank they got their money from.
