****Further details are below regarding the summarized items above.****

***Team Money***
Each 2 wins your team has in the regular season = 1 team money (96 wins equals 48 TM). Team Money can be used for: 1) contract buyouts, 2) Signing bonus 3) Player Upgrades

Team Money can only be spent during off-season, unless specified otherwise. At the end of the off season all team money not spent will be distributed evenly to all teams.
You can trade team money you currently have control over.
You are not allowed to trade future money earned.
During the season you can spend team money to buyout contracts.
Team money totals will be found on the home page at the bottom.

**Contracts**
Teams can re-sign your own players after their contract is up. They will go into free agency if they are not resigned.
Contracts have a maximum of 4 years when you resign a player to your team.
Buyout: If you want to remove a player and his salary, you can buy out that players contract for its value (Value = Salary x Yrs) and then he will be placed into Free Agency.
Buyouts must be done before each Free Agency Round during off season.

Restructure: You can buy years from a players contract and retain the player. This option will be allowed at any time; you must have the money to buy the years you want removed. This is only to remove years; not change contract values against cap or remove the player from your team.

**Player upgrades**
*Progression Change*
Cost is 40 team money to upgrade a player 1 Progression rank. You may progress a player as far as you like; within the range below. Team must have the money to pay for it.
If a player is 25 years or older, progression upgrade can be purchased for 20 team money.
Progression upgrades will work as follows: U>A>C.
Restrictions on players being progressed are as follows: If you have an "F" rank player they have no progression options.

*Stat Boost*
Cost is 20 team money to upgrade a position player stats in one of the categories below. Player must be under the listed values below.
types of boosts:
Fire (CAN NOT EXCEED 20) (will improve 1)
Fire Reduction (CAN NOT BELOW 10)(will decrease 2)
Fielding (CAN NOT EXCEED .985) (Remove 1 error)
Dwar (CAN NOT EXCEED .5) (will improve by .5)
Speed (CAN NOT EXCEED 8) (will improve by 1)

*Position Change*
For $50 Money. You may change your player to secondary position only as long as it is defensive position downgrade. You will not be able to convert any player to SS. If the secondary position is IF it will only count to move someone to 1b,2b,3b. If it is UT it can be used for any position except SS. Positional Value chart: SS>2B>C>3B>OF>1B/DH

***Free Agent Bidding***
-Free Agent bidding will be split up into 3 different rounds.
-To record your bid go to the menu and select "Links" then click on the "Bid Here" option.
-If a tie happens, higher salary total to cap wins. Second tie break will be the team with less money toward their ?cap? wins.
-For FA signing only you will be allowed to offer up to 10 year contracts as long the contract offer does not go beyond the player turning 35.
-The Signing Bonus is used to lure FA players to your team by offering them more money than the base contract. Signing Bonus (team money spent) will count as $1 for each $1 spent.
Example Contract offered is $5 x 2 years will = $10. If you spend $1 team money it will push the overall total of the contract to $11. **You are only allowed to offer a Signing Bonus that is equal to or less than the total base contract value (yearly salary x years) offered.** So using the same example above: if the contract value toward the cap is $10 ($5x2), then a team is allowed to offer up to $10 money in signing bonus in this instance to push the overall contract value up to $20.
-If you desire to scale your contract to increase or decrease each season; please indicate that in the comments section. This will only be done for FA signings. It will give teams the ability to front load or back load contracts. You can increase by double digit totals and decrease by single digit totals only. (99 or -9 would be the max)
When you submit this type of bid YOU must do the math and display total contract value in comments. If the math is wrong or I have to do the math the bid will not be valid.
-If your team is the only one that bids for a player, the money offered on the contract will be cut in half. Bonus money will still be collected and not refunded.
-If you submit multiple bids for the same player. The most recent one will count.

*** Note contract years need to match player age. If not only years before player retirement will be counted for bid purposes. For example a 35 year old can only have a 1 year contract, if you bid 3 years, it will be reduced to 1. ***

1st Round of Bidding: Bidding is BLIND! Anyone can bid on the 10 players posted on home page. When bidding closes; The board will list the winning team and bid.
2nd Round of Bidding: will be a repeat of first round rules.
3rd Round of Bidding: Bidding is Blind but will be for any remaining players in Free Agency.
If there is any owner less teams being managed by the league office, these teams will be updated with players not bid on in the first round of free agency before the second round starts.

***Rookie Draft***

Each year a Rookie Draft will take place:
-Draft will last 2 rounds
-Draft Order will be based off previous season's finish. Ties resolved by record then Point differential.
-All Rookie picks are signed to $2/4yr Contracts
-Please make sure you pre-rank before the draft regardless if you plan to be there or not.
-During the slow draft if your pick takes more than 6 hours between 8am-8pm PST it will be picked for you if you did not pre-rank. (checks happen 8am,2pm,8pm)
-Real Life Prospects will be added into these drafts to maintain some consistency with actual players in the majors, when made available on the site. Only players age 25 and younger will be applied to the draft. Started 2022 season.

***Trade Rules***
-Trading draft picks is allowed.
-Trading team money is allowed if you have it in the bank.
-Key Players involved in a trade must be posted to trade block 24hrs prior to trade.
-Trade reversal will happen in the following scenarios:
-- if an owner does not agree to terms after trade is made
-- if one of the two owners leaves the same season the trade completed; Trade will be reviewed again if it should stand.
-- If suspicious or foul play is discovered
-- if the trade is horribly unbalanced and determined to be a detriment to the league.

***Playoffs***
Division winner plays the Wild Card to go to World Series.
Seed match up adjustments will happen so the highest seed always plays lowest.
3 days off awarded at end of regular season / before the Playoffs
A day off will be granted for each "travel day" and before each series begins.
World Series Home Field is determined by better regular season record. (Tiebreak is Regular Season Run Diff)

***Managing Teams***
If teams are not being managed and prepared properly, the owner will be removed from the league. Login activity will be monitored especially during the off season.
Other offenses considers but not limited to: not setting lineups, rosters not prepared, trading non trade-able players, or any other items that would require a commissioner to step in and correct.
Orphan teams will be run by the commissioner and will operate as an active owner for the franchise.
