League Rules

Also, I would appreciate it if you didn't cuss, I don't let my players do it, so I try to carry that over.

***ROSTERS

45 man rosters, 25/20 in regular season. YOU MUST HAVE 28 PLAYERS SIGNED TO A CONTRACT AT ALL TIMES.


***BUDGET

The base budget per team will be 170. 45 contract max limit. AGAIN, YOU MUST HAVE 28 PLAYERS SIGNED TO A CONTRACT AT ALL TIMES.


***Trading:

Owners are expected to negotiate and make the moves that are best for their teams within the confines of the rules. Please don't blatantly rip off a new owner. Trades will be reviewed by a trade committee. Action may be taken against owners who disobey the rules. However, I want owners to negotiate the best possible trade for their squad. You will only be penalized if the trade involves a new owner and the front office finds "bad intentions" for the trade. I don't expect to ever have to do this. I have only seen this happen in PC maybe 3 times... but I know some owners are more picky, which is why a trade review board will be in place.

-Draft picks are allowed to be traded 1 year out only. There will be a time frame before the draft in which trades can no longer be made to use that years draft. (after day 60 you will be allowed to trade for the following years draft)


***Wild Card Round:

3 days off will be granted prior to the wildcard games. 1 day off will be granted after.

The wild card teams will play a one game series to determine the winner. The winners will move on to the divisional rounds, and will be matched up against the number one seed in the respective leagues.

***Divisional Round:

The divisional round will be made of 7 games, in a 2-3-2 format, with a team advancing to the next round by winning 4 games. Travel days will be used an off day.

***AL/NL Championship Round:

The winners of the Divisional Round will play a 7 game, 2-3-2 format, series, with the team with 4 games won advancing on to the World Series. Again, travel days will be given an off day.

***World Series

The winners of the championship round will face off in a 7 game, 2-3-2 format, series, with the team with 4 games won winning the title. (The team with the best record will have home field advantage, if a tie, it will go to run-differential, still a tie, head to head record, still a tie or did not play, it will be the team who had a better record vs the opposite league.

***Off season Awards:

There will be few off season awards:
MVP
Cy Young

Again, these will be determined by PC unless a Vice wants to be in charge of the voting.

***Progression:

-Any players not signed to a contract will be placed into FA. Peak at 28. Regress at 32.



***FA Bidding Process:

FA Bidding will be held every off season. Bidding will be two rounds of blind bids.

-First round will be highest total offer bid wins.

-Second round highest total offer wins for remaining players not bid from First round.

Bidding will be done using following format: SP Joe Smith $2/10=$20 (20=total offer)


***ROOKIE DRAFT:

-There will be a rookie draft every year. 3 round draft. It will be held after free agency. The order will be based off of previous year's standings.

-If two teams have same record, then run differential will break the tie. (lower= higher draft choice)

-Rookies need to be signed to contracts before next progressions/advancement of contracts are run; at conclusion of seasons playoffs.

-Rookies will play 90 teams against other rookie teams to give a slight idea on how they will play.
- Rookies will declare for the draft. Any player aged 24 will be forced to declare.
- Players who don't declare will progress with the rest of players until they declare.
- Rookies will declare based on random number order generator from the front office.



***AUTO SUPPLEMENTAL DRAFT
-3 round draft of all remaining players in free agency to help fill out rosters.

-Order of draft will be created by UI Strength.

-Set your pick selections if you want players.
