A1 - If you fail to log in for 14 days without informing me, I'll Remove you from the league, if you want to join, stay active.



A2 - Always try to improve your team in some FUN manner. Rebuilding is a form of improving.



A3 - NO PLAYERS can play out of Position (players secondary positions are allowed). I'll make Lineup changes for you. (Only exception is if there is an Injured Player and the Computer inserts a bench player in the lineup until Regular comes back)



A4 - There will be NO changing of TEAM NAMES or LOGOS.

ABOUT THE LEAGUE:
==================

The United Prospect League League is a Prospect based league. The league focuses on Prospects and young players who enter the league with their first qualified season as their stats, and only progress to 23, then decline at 24, it could get UGLY in a hurry, but some will become All Time Greats. The Season will have an 88 Game Schedule. The players in this league will Retire after their age 38 season. Their ages and potential will come into play, as they'll regress for most of their careers.

The next MLB season each year, will be imported for the next set of Prospects, with all drafts each year being 3 rounds. Rookies will be Imported to the FA pool after the season, for viewing.

Injuries may last up to 50 days, which could be half the season. The UPL H.O.F. starts after the 1925 season. There isn't going to be much of a History page, just PC's Career stats.

LEAGUE SETUP
=============

1) - SIM SCHEDULE: I will Sim 2 times per day. 1 Morning Sim of 3 games (between 6 - 9 am EST), also 1 Night Sim of 3 Games (between 4 - 9 pm EST). Every now and then Times could fluctuate.



2) - ALL STAR TIME: The All Stars will be picked at the end of the season.

* We will not play an All Star game.

All Stars will be picked by the computer. All Star teams will be made up of 25 players from each leauge. All star teams will be made up of 5 SP 5 RP a starter at C 1B 2B 3B SS OF OF and OF with a backup at each infield position as well as 2 additional OF.



3) - TIEBREAKERS: Head to Head Season series, then Power Rankings will determine Tiebreakers, for 3+ way ties, Power Rankings will determine the tie.



4) - TRADING: 3 Trades per Season, Draft picks can be traded for the upcoming season only.



5) - ROOKIE DRAFT: Each year Before Free Agents open up, we'll have a 3 Round SLOW Rookie Draft. Draft order will be based on Previous Seasons Standings with the worst record picking first and so forth.


5a - SLOW DRAFT RULES:

4 PM EST - 7 AM EST - Next Day,...10 PM, if Commish picked previous Round
10 PM EST - 4 PM EST - Next Day,...7 AM, if Commish picked previous Round

If Commish picked both Rounds then the times would be 1 PM, 7 PM & 4 AM, for the 3rd Round. This is to keep everyone HAPPY, and to keep the League moving at a nice pace. Rank your players, and I'll Use your list (check Rule 5b below). If you haven't logged on in 2 days, Commish will make a selection.


5b - FOR OWNERS WHO HAVEN'T RANKED PLAYERS:

During the "SLOW DRAFTS", if you haven't ranked any players, instead of Auto picking, Commish will pick a "Position of Need Player" going by my judgment with the highest OPS, if a batter is chosen or the player with the lowest H/9, if a pitcher is chosen. Some owners aren't always able to get to a computer during the time frame they have to make their pick.

* There will never be a Live Draft.



6) - FREE AGENTS: Before the season starts, a date will be announced for free agency to open (usually 8 pm est, the day after the Draft). Free Agents Turn OFF before the Playoffs start, so teams don't stockpile for the following season to early. That would be unfair for the teams that make the playoffs.



7) - PLAYER PROGRESSION: Players enter the league and progress through age 23, then begin to decline at age 24, then retire after their 38 y/o season.



8) - AWARDS: MVP & CY - The Top Player from each of the award categories will win.


8a) - ROY: Commissioner will select the Top Rookie.


8b) - TROPHIES:

- United Cup Champion (1 team) Trophy Awarded


8c) - U.P..L. HALL of FAME: - Opens in 1925, every 5th year, a new class of HOF will be named, if any. To Qualify for the HOF for the first 20 years (1944), a player must meet these requirements:

Minimums - Batters - 3,000 ab, Pitchers - SP 1,000 ip, RP 500 ip

Career Leader, or Top 3 in 2 major categories or 3 MVP/CY

Batting - R, H, 2B, 3B, HR, RBI, SB, AVG, OBP, SLG & OPS

Pitching - W, ERA, WHIP, SO, SHO & SV

- years 1945 - 1964 - Top 6
- years 1965 - 1984 - Top 10
- years 1985 - 2004 - Top 15
- subject to change

* Older players can still get in when lists expand, if they still qualify.



9) - ROSTER: "No CONTRACTS" "No TEAM SALARIES"

9a - 25 players per team

9b - 6 player Minors

9c - Injuries can reach up to 50 games, which is more than half the season.

9d - 4 Man Pitching Rotations (many days off, so #4 SP will not pitch much)

9e - Players will retire after their 38 year old season

9f - 3 Day Slump Buster

9g - On Fire will be used in this League, however they enter the league, is where they begin.

9h - SP and RP Stamina Limits - This is when they will start to tire.

SP Cap is 120

RP Cap is 30

* You may edit your Rotation to keep your SP in After, When or Before their pitch count is up.



10) - STADIUM RENOVATIONS: Before the beginning of each year, you can let me know if you want to change either LHB, RHB or both, however you want. Adjustments will end before each season starts.



11) - Try to check in frequently, this league will have injuries that could result in players missing up to 50 games. Some players will need to be rested. This information can be found on your team page. If you aren't available to make these adjustments the computer will do it for you automatically. The more participation and interaction leads to a more enjoyable and competitive league.



12) - Have FUN !!!
