1980's Twisted Basketball League🏀League Rules🏀
1. League Set-up--You will have two teams. One Western and one Eastern Conference Teams. You may choose any season between 1974-75 and 1978-79 of your franchise. The twist is, you may stat change any or all your players to any season of their career you want. Duplicate player will be allowed in the first season of this league only. If a play has played for two teams in any season selected by two owners with different teams, the team the player played for the pervious season will get the player.
2. Divisions--This league will be set up with 2 conferences. There will be 2 divisions in each conference. There will be no interconference games.
3. DRAFT -- As soon as you join the league, please pick a letter from available letter on the home page. You will use this letter for drafting in each of the two conferences.
4. TEAM DETAILS -- Be sure to modify any team details, such as Name, Logo, Park, etc. before the league fills and the season starts. Team details will lock about one week into the season.
5. SEASON START -- After the final team joins and drafts, games will begin soon, and you will be notified by email. Be sure to set your lineup, strategy and team details if you haven't done so already. This will be an 56 game season, with each team playing the other teams 8 times. Each series will be 2 game. You will play them back to back. There will be no interconference games.
6. FINAL ROSTER SIZE -- When the games begin, the roster limit will be set to a final 15 which 5 will be inactive reserve. You MUST HAVE AT LEAST 8 PLAYERS on your active list to sim games. If you do not, the commissioner must make changes to your roster in order to play the season.
7. STARTING LINE-UPS-- You must have five starters, one at every position. You are encourage to take advantage
of the wave list. This is how your team will substitute during the game.
8. Progression--This league will use C Progression. Each player will progress until the age of 26 and start regression at the age of 28. Stat change will only be available to move players to present season.
9. Imports--Each pre-season, you will receive your players not already on another team as you imports.
10. TRANSACTIONS, FREE AGENCY, ETC -- There is no free agents. There will be a two round slow draft at the beginning of our league start up. All season after the league start up, there will be a 1 round slow draft before each season. The draft order will be determined by the pervious season final standings. You can make up to 5 trades, starting after Game 6. When trading, you can involve a maximum of 2 players from each team. These rules are in place to keep things fair. Please act responsibly. Heavy unfair trading or dropping star players could get you banned from the league.
11. League Training--Team Training will be limited to 2 games.
12. TRADING DEADLINE -- At the end of games 45, the Trade Center will close.
13. PLAYER HEALTH -- Injuries or fatigue will not be used in this league.
14. SANDBAGGING -- Do not attempt to place players outside of their primary or secondary positions, or you will see a high error rate. I will keep an eye on this type of managing.
15. POST-SEASON -- 4 teams from each conference will make the play-offs. The two division winner and the next two teams with the best conference records. All series are best-of-seven in the 2-3-2 format.
Additional rules will be added as need. Any rule addition will be by majority in a poll.
