After thirty-one long and frustrating seasons, the 北海道 ヒグマ are finally champions once again. They swept the Pittsburgh Pilates in four games for their second league championship and first since Season 12. Series MVP Rick Reed led the way with a complete-game shoutout in a 1-0 ヒグマ game 1 victory.
