I am in autoleague 93... mid century. And.....I noticed a team finished in front of me in the wild card standings, even though we had the same record and I had a better head to head record against him in the regular season.

You finished tied with two other teams. When more than two teams are tied, the tiebreaker is Power Ranking, which is largely based on W-L and run diff. I looked and the team that got the wildcard spot had the best Power Ranking of the three.

Thanks for the reply. But....that's crazy. Lol I actually had better head to head against the other two teams I was tied with. The game actually had me showing as the wild card team going into the final game. Then....Chile catapulted me to grab the spot.

Yes, in regular MLB, the tie would have resolved in your favor.

Kind of related to this is the mvp formula in auto leagues , jmho but I think that def should count for something. Maybe d plus minus errors or something like that ?
