Default Vs Zero Vs Shot Share Shooting

Default Vs Zero Vs Shot Share Shooting

Can the developer share the differences between the "Shot Share", "Default" and "Zero" shooting percentages in the wave settings? Does the "zero" setting mean the player will hardly ever put up a shot and routinely pass up open looks and what is the difference between the "default" selection and the "shot share" setting?

Thanks for your thoughts!

Re: Default Vs Zero Vs Shot Share Shoot

I'm going to change the language here, as it's pretty confusing. I'm going to rename the first option to No change (use default shot share) - this means it's inheriting the shot share from your edit lineup page. The next option is going to be No adjustment - this means shooter gets shots at his baseline stats. (Akin to "Normal" as it appears on the Edit Lineup page).

There is no "zero shots"... per the prior discussion, you can't stop a shooter from shooting, or stop a player from being involved in the offense, or for that matter reduce his shots, per se. You can only increase other's shots (which by some measure will reduce a player's shots).

The ability to modify shot share per wave is to allow for unique shot shares for groups of subs.

Re: Re: Default Vs Zero Vs Shot Share S

Is there a difference between "shot share" and the Normal Baseline Rate option? (In other words does shot share mean that each player on the court will take approximately 20% of the shots taken while that wave in on the floor?)

Sorry to be a pain- just trying to understand how the game works.

Re: Default Vs Zero Vs Shot Share S

Shot share depends entirely on who is on the floor together. So it's never 20-20-20-20-20 (unless the stats actually work out that way).

That's why every wave shows the shot share for the specific wave. The default is that players will inherit the share adjustment you set on your Edit Lineup, but you can adjust each wave if you want, including removing whatever adjustment you might have on Edit Lineup - that's why there is an additional option on the Waves.

Cool- thanks for the clarification!

Re: Default Vs Zero Vs Shot Share Shoot

Okay late to this but I seen you say the Zero doesn’t mean he doesn’t take shots . But I had it set in some of my waves and was helping keep the guys with low shot percentages to not shoot .

Which text did you change to the zero ? Like the previous setting is just under a new name and I need to know which one that was so I can fix my waves back

Re: Re: Default Vs Zero Vs Shot Share S

@Hachimura No adjustment is what you want - but you should not have to change anything, if you had it set to "Zero" it should still show now as "No adjustment".

BTW, I still don't like the wording, I am going to be renaming the first option to "Inherit from lineup settings".

So, the options are:

Inherit from lineup - this means whatever shot share you gave the player on your lineup page
No adjustment - means no increase in player shots for this wave
