That's quite a stat. I would have thought your win-loss record would be better. I always build at least one team in a league that has great defense. I usually make the playoffs with that team and then get crushed by a good hitting team once I get there.

Yeah, the Orioles team was 82-80, but made it through 2 rounds of playoffs to the World Series before going down.

It's worth mentioning that the cost of the defense prowess is that our lineup has been VERY underwhelming, which would explain the lackluster record

Interestingly enough, Erstad is only 2 hits robbed away from me having 2 players with 100+ hits robbed on the same team, and there's still a few games to go

Awesome achievement but it cracks me up when I see that a catcher has a hit robbed , did he jump in front of the batter before he could hit it lol And to the peanut gallery , yes he used his arm to throw the guy out at 1st

Well….. maybe the batter laid down a bunt or the batter had a swinging bunt and the catcher made a tremendous play to get to the ball and throw the batter out. Happens often.

Whats funny is that all that defensive value definitely has had a major impact on the pitching staff too: out of all 12 pitchers (both SPs and RPs), the highest individual ERA out of all of them is 3.32 from the lowest ranked RP Matt Andriese (42 rank). That's actually very impressive that the entire pitching staff benefited so much from a stellar defense lol
