Happy new year, and a new look for Pennant Chase in 2014!
Happy new year! First off, congrats to kingstreet for winning the most auto league games in 2013, finishing with 18,810 victories! Congrats to roguerogue for ending the year of 2013 with the highest winning percentage (.646) which he accomplished with over 10,000 wins.
On Thursday, January 2nd I plan to launch the new design of Pennant Chase. While the design is new, the placement of everything is essentially the same, so you won?t have to hunt to find the functionality you are familiar with. The most appealing aspect of the new design is that it works across all screen sizes, so you will get the full site on your mobile device without the need to pinch-and-zoom. (The only element of the site that is not yet fit for mobile are sim replays.)
This was a massive project, over five months in the making, consuming any chunk of free time I could find. There were times I wondered if I had made the right decision, but I am confident we needed to move to a more modern design to keep Pennant Chase relevant.
As with any major change to the site, I count on you guys to let me know if things aren?t working. I don?t expect many issues with this redesign, but things can always come up unexpectedly. When you make a large change to a website like this, you have to accept the good with the bad ? we all loved the old design, and there are aspects of it we will probably miss, but the new design has its perks and I am confident we will come to love it just as much.
