***Team Money***
Each win your team has in the regular season = 1 team money (96 wins equals 96 TM). Team Money can be used for: 1) contract buyouts, 2) Signing bonus 3) Position changes 4) Progression changes 5) Stadium upgrades. Team Money can only be spent during off-season. At the end of the off season all team money not spent will be placed into a pool and taxed 32%. The new total of money will then be distributed evenly to all teams.
This is done to simulate revenue sharing system that MLB has in place.
You can trade team money you currently have control over.
You are not allowed to trade future money earned.
Team money totals will be found on the home page at the bottom.
**Contracts**
Contracts have a maximum of 5 years. Teams can re-sign your own players after their contract is up. They will go into free agency if they are not resigned.
Buyout: If you want to remove a player and his salary, you can buy out that player?s contract for its value (Value = Salary x Yrs) and then he will be placed into Free Agency. (Buyouts must be done before Free Agency).
**Position Changes**
To change a player position it will cost 50 team money. You may move a player from primary to secondary position.
Send position change requests to raiderbill33. Updates will be made to dWar according to the positions (see dWar Scale below). Fielding will also be penalized depending on the position switching. A first baseman with .992 fielding will not have the same fielding pct at Shortstop. A switch from SS to 1B would not incur such a penalty, as 1B is considered the easier position to play.

**Player upgrades**
Progression Change
Cost is 50 team money to upgrade a player 1 Progression rank. Progression upgrades will work as follows F>U>A>C. Restrictions on players being progressed are as follows: If a player is 75 rank or above they max out at A progression. 74 and below Rank players are capped at C progression as far as they would like or can afford.
Random Change
Cost is 25 Team money to upgrade a position players stats in one of the listed categories below at random. The stat that is chosen is random and the progression received is random. Players must be MUST BE UNDER 28 YEARS OLD:
types of boosts:
energy (CAN NOT EXCEED 162 GAMES) will go up 1-5 energy
fielding (CAN NOT EXCEED .985)- will go up about .05-.10%
speed (CAN NOT EXCEED SPEED OF 8)-will go up 1
***Free Agent Bidding***
Free Agent bidding will be split up into 2 different rounds. Click on the "Bid Here" Link, and fill in the information: team name, player's first and last name, salary amount and number of years (5 years max) and signing bonus (team money spent). If a tie happens, higher salary to cap wins. Second tie break will be the team with less money toward their ?cap? wins.
The Signing Bonus is used to lure FA players to your team by offering them more money than the base contract. Signing Bonus (team money spent) will count as 1 for each 1 spent. Example Contract offered is 5 x 2 years will = 10. If you spend 1 team money it will push the overall total of the contract to 11.
1st Round of Bidding: 24 hour time span, bidding is BLIND! Anyone can bid on the players in free agency. At the 24 hour mark bidding will close. The board will list the winning team and bid.
2nd Round of Bidding: will be a repeat of first round's rules. If there is any owner less teams being managed by the league office, these teams will be updated with players not bid on in the first round of free agency before the second round starts.
***Rookie Draft***
Each year a Rookie / Rental Draft will take place:
-Draft will last 3 rounds
-Draft Order will be based off previous season's finish for playoff teams, then record.
-All Rookie picks are signed to $1/5yr Contracts
-Please make sure you pre-rank before the draft regardless if you plan to be there or not.
-During the slow draft if your pick takes more than 4 hours it will be picked for you if you did not pre-rank.
****Trades****
5/10 Rule
If a player is on the same team for five consecutive seasons and has been in the league for 10 years, he cannot be traded at any time. This will be indicated with a "5/10 Rule" player tag.
Trades are limited 5 per season. Max of 5 items may move from one team in one trade. (Items=Players,Picks,Money)
***Other Important Rules***
-5yr max contract for all players.
-Trades and FA turned off after game 120
-All-star selections are made at game 100 / 5 off days;
-All players retire at age 36.
-All Under.200 BA or whip 2.00 or higher will retire
-Cap is set at $175
-Trading draft picks is allowed up to 1 year out.
-Trading team money is allowed as long as you have it in the bank. Both managers need to PM league office so that it is clear terms have been agreed on trades involving team money and/or draft picks.
-dWar is capped by position in this league. If you have a player that exceeds the cap for their position it will be updated by the commissioners. SS=5.5, CF=5, 3B=4.5, 2b=4.0, C=3.0, OF/LF/RF=3.5, 1b=1. These totals are based from what is the best that has been accomplished at these positions.
***Playoffs***
Division winners are seeds 1-4. Two wild cards are 5-6.
First round will be 3-4 vs 6-5. Winners move on to play 1-2.
Seed match up Adjustments will happen so the highest seed always plays lowest.
A day off will be granted for each "travel day"
A day off will be granted before each series begins.
World Series Home Field is determined by better regular season record.
Round 1 = 3 games / Round 2 = 5 games / Round 3-4 = 7 games.
**League Updates**
When PC releases a new year of MLB players or changes to the site sim happen; League office will evaluate the parity and success of the league at that time and will consider a league reboot or rule changes if deemed necessary.
