League Rules

League Description
---
With each new season, real players will progress with Random Progression 28/32. You will have the option to utilize the current season stats for whatever season we are currently playing in. for Example: If it were 1948, you could use Joe DiMaggio's 1948 stats. Managers will have the choice to keep the players' current progressed statistics or use the statistics available with the current season we are playing in. Players will not retire until they are over 45 years old. If a player was playing in MLB past the age of 45, he will not retire until his actual retirement age.

Rookies
---
New players will be imported at a minimum of 15IP (Relievers) 65IP (Sarters) or 100ABs according to the season we are playing in. This is where most of your talent will come from.

Before each season, we will have a 1 round draft opposite the previous season's finish. There will be very little talent in this draft. However, we will add a few Negro League players into this draft which can help the teams which are in need of improvement.

Rookie of the Year voting
---
130 at bats, 50 innings pitched minimum

Progression
---
Players progress until 28 years old. Players do not regress until they are 32.

Statistical Range Edits
---
Sometimes random progression can create some statistical outliers. After each progression, I will adjust those outliers to fit within a realistic range. The current max range is...

1.249 OPS / .85 WHIP

Note: These edits are only made after progression has been run. If you have a player in the current season with better statistics, you may utilize that player's stats without worrying about him being edited until the next progression is run.

Range Factor Edits
---
After progressions run, RF will be adjusted at all positions to fix any outliers. OFs with an inflated RF because they played infield will also be modified for a more realistic RF.

Player Boosts (START OF LIST)
---
Boosts will become available for AL teams during odd seasons and NL during even seasons. A boost is only allowed one time in a player's career.

DEFENSIVE BOOST:
Errors will be cut in half. No player can have a 1.000 FLD%

dWar BOOST:
The player will get a + 1.00 dWar boost. Max dWar is 3.00.

ENDURANCE BOOST:
The player will have a 20% games played boost or Stamina boost. RP max END is 60. SP max END is 130.

SPEED BOOST:
Players will be given a 1 point speed increase. However, No player can exceed a speed factor of 10.

OFFENSIVE STRIKE OUT BOOST:
Batters Strike Outs will be reduced by 25%.

4 YEAR BOOST:
You can use a the player's stats from a different season within 4 years of the current season. For example: 2000 - 4 = 1996 to 2000 available.
NOTE: This boost is backwards in time only.

POSITION CHANGE (BOOST):
If the player played 80 MLB games at the position, he can be converted to the position.
If a pitcher is 32yrs or older, he can convert to a SP or a RP. They must have started at least 40 games in the MLB to convert to a SP. RP's converting to SP will have their current ratings combined with their career average to create ratings as a starter. Their END as a RP will be added to 60 to create a new rating for Endurance. SPs converting to RPs will have a 10% improvement at H9, BB9 and K9.

CLOSER BOOST:
The player's On-Fire rating will be boosted to match his highest career totals in Saves or the highest amount of Saves generated during sims. His h/9 and k/9 will be maxed out to match his best career season.

(BOTTOM OF LIST)

BOTTOM 6 AUDIT
---
The worst 6 teams in the league will receive a looksy from me each season. I will make sure they are active with their lineup and utilizing their boosts and current ratings. I will also see if there are ways I can boost their lineups a bit. With realistic edits. Nothing extreme. This won't be a big deal. Just a way for me to ensure the league stays as competitive as possible without taking away Boosts that they may be able to use later.

ROSTER REALISM
---
Just to add "roster realism" to this league, if a manager is inactive or quits this league, I will use this as an opportunity to adjust that team's rosters. I will send some of the players to their current or original teams. I will just do this for roster realism. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. If the team is not very good, I will look into ways I could improve their lineup. PLEASE NOTE! I will not send any players to my current team (Reds). I do not want anyone thinking that I am cheating. I just want roster realism whenever possible.

NEED A BACKUP INFIELDER?
---
If you have a SS or 2B 30yrs old or older with an OPS .799 or below, I will change his secondary position to IF for you. He must be in your Majors! You also much request this...

Playoffs
---

Best Record in each league will get 1st round bye
Wild card Round will be a 5 game series
Pennant Championship will be a 7 game series
World Series is a 7 game series

Tie-breakers are determined by your Power Ranking

Trade Veto
---
If you think a trade was not fair, you most post a message in the chatbox contesting the trade. I will post a poll to let the league vote on it. Please don't send me any private messages about the trade. If you think it's not fair, be open to the league about it.
