League Rules

RULES
I'll try to keep it short and simple.

This is a keepers league (40). There will be no contracts. You can keep or trade players. Each year your team will acquire rookies via the Amateur Draft.

We will increase the numbers of keepers as the league progresses. (Via League vote.)

The draft will be a Straight Draft based on the final regular season standings.


Rounds will vary from year to year based on the talent pool available.

Conduct

Change Stats

Each season you will be able to change all your player stats to the current year if it helps you.
This option can be found by clicking on a player and using the menu on the right side of the screen & selecting change stats.

This will be available following the completion of the 1st season.

Progression:

Classic progression and you can also change your players stats each season

Progression up to age 28 stay the same until age 33 and then start to regress.

Sims

Sim can be run every 4 hours.

Simming Games

In order to sim a game you need:
9 pitchers on your major roster
11 batters on your major roster

Retirement

The age that players will retire is 42.
players will be allowed to complete there season at age 42 then retire or if the owner wants to continue to use the player.

Post Season

The best team from each League will meet in the World Series.
If there is a regular season tie, there will be a 1 game playoff. Home field will be determined by teams runs scored.

Playoffs
The best team from each division will meet.
7 game series
best record gets home field
(if there is a tie in wins, then runs scored will be the deciding factor)
3 days rest granted to all teams
rest granted after games 2 & 5

home field goes to the team with most wins.

*IF THERE IS A TIE WITH WINS, THE MOST RUNS SCORED WILL BE THE TIE BREAKER.

Expansion:
We may or may not be doing expansion in this League, it will depend on interest in the league.
If a franchise moves to a different city I will change it.
