League Rules
From the Commish:64 Colleges in 8 Conferences. This is a big league and it is designed to be as simple as possible to run. Please accept the rules and have fun managing your school. I will do my best to answer any questions.
1. SCHEDULE: 66 games, 3 game series with 2 days in between. Everyone plays their own conference 6x and everyone in their sister conference 3x. The season is setup to give teams 2 days off in between series. The season officially ends on Day 110. Days 111 & 112 will be official days off before tournament play begins. "User Sim" is turned on so the rest of the league can progress the season if the Commissioner or Vice Commissioner get caught up in real world stuff. Expect 2-6 games per day.
2. POST-SEASON TOURNAMENT: 3 Man Rotations! 3 Days off Granted.
Wild Card Play-In Games(Day 113): To fire up tournament play, The 8th & 9th seeded Wild Card teams from each division will play a 1 game Play-in game to advance to the "Wild Card Regionals." NOTE: No day off between Play-In game and matchup with next opponent.
Wild Card Regionals(Days 114-116): The 8 remaining Wild Card Teams from each Division will be matched up by seeding 1-8. 3 Game series. Higher seed is the home team.
College World Series(2 Days off between 3 days on): Conference winners get an automatic bid. Double Elimination! In the first round, Conference winners are matched up with the winners from the "Wild Card Regionals" according to conference and seeding. Higher seed hosts.
College World Series Championship(3 Days off before): The final two will play in the best of 3 home/away/home with the lowest seed being the host.
Season ends after Day 131
3. TIEBREAKERS: Any tiebreakers will be settled by Power Rankings. Playoff seeding will be decided by Win-Loss record with PR as tie-breaker.
4. PLAYER PROGRESSION: After each season, players will age and stats will change slightly. A player enters at 18 & graduates at 22. Players should improve each year before graduation.
5. GRADUATION/RETIREMENT: Players will graduate when they turn 22yrs old.
6. RECRUITING INCOMING FRESHMAN: Will be available for Supplemental Draft. You can rank your recruits from your Team Page during the offseason. The supplemental draft will be 5 rounds with the order being first to worst (As in "real" college baseball the top recruits usually wind up at the top colleges). If you do not rank any players, you will not receive any players during the first submission. I will post the list of recruits on the Homepage. I will submit the draft a 2nd time to bring everyone to at least 25 players. Roster limit is 30.
9. ROSTER: Roster size: Will be a max of 30 minimum of 25. Commissioner will adjust roster for you if you do not reach the minimums.
10. FREE AGENTS: Walk-ons will be available as soon as the Supplemental draft has finished. You will be free to drop players during the off-season but you have to limit it to two and you must submit the names to the commissioner.. During the season, you will only be able to add players. When the season is over, Free Agents will be turned off and progressed so you can get a better idea of their ratings going in to the supplemental draft.
11. INJURIES: You can lose a player for up to 2 series(8 Days Total). Make sure your bench is deep enough to compensate.
12. NEW SEASON: After the World Series, there will be about a week for the commissioner to hand out awards, progress players, retire/graduate players, etc.
13. CHANGING SCHOOLS: I want everyone to own their FAVORITE school. If your favorite school becomes available. Just let the commissioner know. You can own up to 4 teams that are in different conferences.
14. THE COMMISH: My number 1 goal is to have a strong, fun, realistic, competitive league! My team is the Alabama, & Texas Tech. I will always put the league before my team.
15. AWARDS: MVP, Cy Young, Conference Champs, Division Champs and College World Series Trophy. College Player of the Year (Senior Only). All Conference Team 8 hitters, 5 pitchers (No Seniors).
16. LAST PLACE BOOST: The bottom 2 teams in each league will get a real player from their school.
