League Rules
Welcome to the 21st Century Fantasy
A league specifically designed for rookie owners to get a feel of PC alongside veteran owners who want a little different type of style. Run by Commissioner - MattyRed
KEEPERS
Teams get a total of 4 keepers per season!
1st Keeper - A player from your previous year's PC team. This takes priority over a team keeper if the teams real life team tries to claim a player
2nd & 3rd Keeper - Choose a player from your real team's roster the same prospective season. (IE. 2 players from NYY from their 2001 roster for the 2001 season)... in the event a player was traded mid-season, priority would go to the team he ended with.
4th Keeper - a rookie from your real team's prospective season. In the event a team did not have an eligible rookie (IE 50ABs/15IP) in a season, you may use your previous season's rookie.
When a keeper changes real life teams he can no longer be your "team" keeper and you must use your previous year's PC keeper on him. IE Alex Rodriguez SEA-TEX in 2001.
ROSTERS
After your keepers, teams will select a new roster every season (no signing players) just like a fantasy draft. Rosters will be roughly 30 players deep per season.
FANTASY DRAFT
Draft Breakdown will be similar to the following each season:
Rounds 1-4 - slow draft (12 hours per pick) I will change this to 6hrs per pick for rounds 3&4
Rounds 5-11 - LIVE Draft 1 (date will be set in the 4th round of slow draft)
Rounds 12-18 - LIVE Draft 2 (3 days between to pre-rank)
Rounds 19-23 - Supp Draft 1 (3 days between to pre-rank
Rounds 24-28 - Supp Draft 2 (2 days to pre-rank)
PLAYER STATS AND PROGRESSIONS
Players will start with 2000 stats, then progress to their real stats for the following season. This means players will retire when players retire and could get better or worse each season (as opposed to the typical PC progress to 28 and regress from 32 on). Players who enter the league with under 150 ABs (or 40IPs) with an unrealistic stat line due to low number of ABs, will have their stats edited to a reasonable variation prior to the fantasy draft.
REAL LIFE INJURIES
In the event that a player was injured for a season in real life (less than 50 ABs/15 IPs) then he would not exist in this league for that season.
PLAYOFFS
Playoffs consist of fantasy style format with seeding per league and a bye week for the best overall team.
TRADES
You can trade players during season but picks can only be traded in the offseason. Picks must be swapped an even number. For example. Trade 2nd rounder and 20th rounder for the 6th and 7th rounder of another team. If you trade a keeper then it looks like this: Keeper and 24th round pick for 2nd and 5th rounders.
You can not trade "Keeper rights" you must trade the actual player after you selected the keeper.
DIVISION CHANGES
Every 5 years an change in divisions will take place to keep the years fresh.
Division realignment:
2006 - East vs West
2011 - divisions based on owners
2016 - coastal vs inland
2021 - back to AL vs NL
