1. What is this league?

SARNCAA is the official college league component to the most realistic MLB league on Pennant Chase, SARMLB, started more than a year ago, which, at the time of the start of this league, had completing its 4th season (2018). Much like its component, this league is to bring you the most realistic NCAA experience possible. There will be real time recruitments, real time everything. Players in this league will also have the option to declare for the MLB Draft each year, so that is even extra burden.

I hope you enjoy your time here.

c. Players Drafted Retired

3. Roster Management and Off/On-season Tasks

3.1. Maintaining Roster Size

You may have as many as 28 men on your roster, and as little as 20 at all times. You are required to have at least 9-12 pitchers on your roster, and 11-16 position players on your roster.

There will be a three man rotation. You will only need 3 starters, but if you want to keep another, you may. Don?t have more than 4 starters on your roster.

3.2 Contracts/Progression

There are no contracts in this league. Only progressions will be used.

Progression will have players add on to their stats until the end of their career. Freshman will usually start at 18 years old, but some may start at 19, and some at 20 and 21. Very rarely will there be 17 and even 16 year olds. A player will graduate from this league at the end of his senior year IF he declares eligible for the MLB draft AND he is drafted by a MLB team.

If a senior does NOT declare for the MLB draft or is not drafted by a MLB team, you have the option of offering admission into graduate school (see 3.3.2)

3.3 Transferring and MLB Draft

3.3.1 Transfers

(Transfers are the same as trades)

Transfers will only be during the offseason. Any player might request to transfer to another university to continue his studies elsewhere.

Juniors, Seniors and graduate students CANNOT be transferred. Only freshmen and sophomores can transfer.

When you transfer a player, there must be an equal amount of players, with a maximum of three per side. If there isn?t an equal amount of players or there's more than three per side, the transfer will be reversed.

Players that request a transfer MUST be transferred to that college. Failure to do so will result in that player automatically moving to that college.

3.3.2 Declaring for the MLB Draft

The most important thing in this league is undoubtedly when players declare for the MLB Draft. Seniors are automatically declared eligible. As soon as the offseason begins, at least 40 players will declare for the MLB draft each week. Player will automatically be moved to a sandbox for safe keeping until the MLB Draft.

40 freshmen, 60 juniors, and 60 Seniors will declare for the draft each year unless noted.

Any freshman, sophomore, junior, or first year grad student that was not drafted will return to college.

Any senior that did not get drafted in the MLB Draft or never declared can be offered admission into a two year graduate program at your school, or have it transferred to another school. If a player says yes, he will return to school for at least one year. If not, he becomes an underrated free agent in SARMLB.

If a player remains undrafted after the two years, he will become a MLB free agent if he declared for the draft. If he did not, he will retire from the league (but have a master?s degree and a full resume, so that?s a plus).

3.4 Free Agents and Drops

After the end of the offseason, if you don't meet the requirements listed above (see 3.1), you are required to give scholarships to players, as long as they stay within the 25-man roster limit during the offseason. During the course of the season, only two adds are allowed per team and must be sent to the commish. Deadline is Day 65 for scholarships.

Drops are also allowed, but only 3 per offseason and must be sent to the main commish. Freshmen, seniors, and second year graduate students CANNOT be dropped under any circumstance. During the season, there are no drops.

3.5 Recruiting

3.5.1 Freshmen Recruiting

The top 64 players from the FOLLOWING freshmen class (32 position players, 32 starting pitchers) will apply to their top five colleges each, randomly selected. Players will take place in recruiting scrimmages (about 10 games). After that, players will be recruited and interviewed by college?s athletic directors (you guys), telling them how they will fit their system for that season. Players will begin selecting choices around the beginning of the new season.

Each team has a limit of three offers of admission to give to players through the recruitment process. To offer another one, you must pull one back (you can only pull it back if a player has not accepted OR circumstances have come up).

The remaining 320 freshmen will be put into the free agency pool for a recruitment draft after the season. The supplement draft will be 5 rounds long. The order will be from first to worst record. After the end of the draft, free agency will open and any remaining players will be able to go anywhere of their choosing.

3.5.2. Transfer Recruiting

Similar to freshmen recruiting, except the top 32 players in the transfer group (16 position players, 16 starting pitchers) (consisting of Division II and III freshmen and sophomores, or Division I players that are in schools not in the league) will negotiate with the schools for admission into their college for the following season.

For transfers, each team has ONE offer of admission to give. The remaining 224 players will be placed in a separate recruitment draft (4 Rounds, however, the final round consists of the teams that did not get a player during the recruitment process) after the season ends. Players will enter as sophomores (previous year freshmen) or juniors (previous year sophomores).

4. Athletic Director Expectations

As a GM in any PC league, you must be active in the league. If you are inactive for 15 days (2 weeks, 1 day) with no excuse, then you will be removed from one of your teams and be put on the waiting list.

5.1 Awards

Awards include (for each conference):

MVP
Cy Young
Freshman (Rookie) of the Year

Team Awards include:

5.3 SARMLB.com

A separate section on SARMLB.weebly.com will be in place for stories involving this league. If you would like to contribute, message me.

5.4 New Rule Voting

If any of the three commissioners have a rule idea that they would like to put in place, then that commish will have to send a new league message to the league. Then a poll will be put up. If 50% or more of the league votes to the rule, then the rule will be put up.

Thank you for your participation in this league.
