League Rules
Pick Your Favorite Season Rules and Regulations1. Picking your team
After you join, let the commissioner know which historic team you want. Only one franchise will be allowed per decade. For example is someone picks the 1998 Yankees, no other Yankee teams from the decade will be allowed. Also, no more than THREE of any one franchise will be allowed.
1a. Because old-time teams have so few pitchers/players, you should pick a team from 1940 onward, and no team that cannot field at least 23 player will be allowed.
1b. Player Requirements
Your entire roster will be imported as long as players has 85 AB and 25 IP. There is no minimum IP requirement for SPs in this league. You must maintain 26 players on the MLB roster. The rest must be in the minors.
1c. UT Modifications
Each team will be allowed two players who are under 50 rank to have a secondary position of UT so that all teams can field all positions.
2. Team Names, Logos, Ballparks
- All team names and logos will not be editable, but ballparks will be. Ballpark changes will have to be sent to the commish prior to the season starting.
3. Sims
- 3-4 games will be simmed per day, with user sims turned ON. This league will depend on user's to help advance the season.
4. Playoffs
- Playoffs will be like the current MLB playoffs. Two wild cards will play in a one-game playoff. The winner of that game will play the best team, while the other two division winners face off. There will be NO DAY OFF for the wild card teams. All other series are best of seven.
5. Days Off
- Three days off at mid-season
- Three days off before the playoffs
- NO DAYS OFF after the one-game wild-card playoff
- One day off after Game 4 of each round
- One day off between each playoff series (teams that finish their series early could get extra days off)
6. Tiebreakers
- Where possible, head-to-head will break all ties. Otherwise a one-game playoff will break ties.
7. Injuries
- Max 5 days for positional players
- NO PITCHER INJURIES due to the limited players on each roster
8. Fatigue
- Player fatigue is ON for this league. You don't have to sit players, but their stats will suffer if you don't. It's recommended you turn on the CPU Auto-Sit option.
9. New Seasons
- Since the teams will change each season, I am not expecting to keep compiled stats from year to year at this point.
Some leagues use fictional player progression. To learn more about how players progress, check the Player Potential page.
