League Rules
1) We start with 1935 rosters and have a unpredictable progression. The twist is, you get to stat change your players to any previous season with 100 AB or 30 IP. This is only done once on your original roster. Future stat changes are to the current season as usual. Each owner drafts an AL team and an NL team to form their one team. Your NL team will be the city, AL the team name.2) All teams are available from the 1935 season.
3) Each year you will get all of that team’s imports. Original imports need 50 AB or 25 IP. Under 100 AB/30 IP gets stats doubled. If a player played for more than one team, he goes to the one he played most. Future imports, starting season 2 (1936, then 1937, etc going forward), will be set at 100/30.
4) Rosters: Major league – 26, plus 12 more in the minors.
5) No contracts
6) Trades: Trades will be unlimited, but you may not trade between your own teams.
7) 5 man rotations , WAR used instead of fire, Sims set to run every 3 hours, fatigue used, injuries 12 games max pitchers, 6 games for hitters
8) Duplicate imports are not allowed in the league other than from the initial imports.
9) Free agents will be available through the waiver system. Free agents will be players cut from other teams. There is no draft, only imports and free agency from cut players. Free agents retire at 35.
10) 154 game schedule. Top 2 teams make it to the title game. Series is 2-3-2. Tie breakers are head to head, then point differential.
11) POSITION CHANGES:
Pitchers: If you are short of starters, or relievers, you can switch one (or more) to the other to fill a need.
Fielders: Will switch primary and secondary position when the secondary position was played 25% of the players career (by games played) or 35% of the present season.
12) Stat change and progression: There will be unlimited stat change to the current season (must have 100 AB or 30 IP). Players that get stat changed get moved to that age. Keep in mind, this ages the player to what he was that season.
Progression age is set at 28/32 and uses unpredictable progression. Regression should begin at 32.
13) Rule on players that were pitchers and hitters. If you have a player that did both, you may have 1 in hitters and 1 in pitchers. But, they must use the same season, the hitter gets moved to DH with fielding of 0.500, and they take 2 roster spots. Pitchers must have played a position and had atleast 100 AB. Players are still imported according to the above rules- duplicates are not allowed on different teams.
14) New and additional rules will be added when I think of them.
Some leagues use fictional player progression. To learn more about how players progress, check the Player Potential page.
