League Rules
Rules page under construction**************************Welcome to the 1992 Rosilver League! This is a non-contract league. Each owner will have 2 teams. You may not trade players between your two teams. Players are yours til you trade or cut them. This league will not contain the Braves
League composition: There will be 10 owners and 20 teams. The league will contain 5 divisions of 4 teams each. 162 games in the regular season
Teams: 26/40 rosters; 5 man rotation. You must field a complete team, one for which the sims will run, or you forfeit.
Team Selection: You will pick your first team when you join the league – put your choice in the chatbox: The Atlanta Braves are ineligible. Your second team will be chosen by a draft, in inverse order of the 1992 records of the first teams.
Imports: Season 1: 20 IP, 50 AB. Season 2 and thereafter: 35 IP, 100 AB. These are the minimums for stat changing also.
Progressions: most leagues “plateau” from 28 - 32, this league will plateau from 30 - 34. This is in an effort to more closely mimic real life while still being new and different.
Playoffs:
Ties: If teams tie for a playoff spot:
⇒ If both teams would be “in”, use head to head record as a tiebreaker. 2nd tie breaker is run differential. If a 3rd tie breaker is necessary, it will be an arbitrary decision by the commissioner based on which team he likes better.
⇒ If one is in, the other is out, 1 game playoff (@ head 2 head winner)
⇒ In seeding, Division winners get the nod over wild card teams.
With 2 division winners and 4 wildcard qualifiers, we’ll need to make alterations to the playoff structure here. As I envision it, division winners earn a first round bye. Wildcard winners will be seeded 3 thru 6 with seed 3vs6 and seeds 4 vs 5. Wildcard winners then play division winners who are seeded 1and 2. Then follows the LCS and World Series with seeding to determine LCS and the World Series matchup home field determined by better regular season record.
Trades cannot be made after game 140, and not until after the World Series concludes. This applies to waiver claims, also.
GENERAL RULES: Each offseason, you can switch a SP to RP based on need. You can switch a player’s primary and secondary positions if they played 50% or more games THAT season at their secondary position, or at least a third of their games for their career at their secondary position. Additionally, a DH can be swapped to his secondary position IF he has a fielding percentage.
Each player should only be on one team. Should a player have played for two or more teams in any one season, he will go where he had more AB or IP. If there are any issues about which team a player is on, it must be raised before the season starts. Once games begin, and a player has "been in uniform" for even one game for a team, the right to appeal is quashed.

progression after world series. Players with less than 35 IP or 100 AB will have their stats doubled. Plateau range is 30 - 34 years of age.
Owners can choose unlimited players to have their stats switched from last season’s progressed stats to the next season’s actual stats. Minimums for stat switching: 100 AB/35 IP. Must be done before the new season begins. If you are caught cheating, you will lose the player. If you discover the error and report it, the player will be reverted to a previous, legitimate season while keeping his present age.
Imports: Your next years players will be imported on your roster as long as they are not already in league.
Once games begin, and rosters are trimmed to legal limits, waiver claims will commence.
Trades (all season 99) but not between your own teams.
Elastic Clause: The Commissioner reserves the right to create any new rules necessary to keep the league running smoothly.
Some leagues use fictional player progression. To learn more about how players progress, check the Player Potential page.
