League Rules
League Rules**This will be a 16 team league. The league will be structured so there is a NFC and a AFC Conferences. There will be 2 divisions in each conference, 4 in the East and 4 in the West. We will start with the 1980 NFL season teams and move forward from there. You will play each team in your conference twice, a home and home. There will be no interleague play. The league will consist of 14 game schedule, plus play-offs.
1. DRAFT AND IMPORTS-- At the beginning of each season, each team will be real life progressed by 1 year. Then the next seasons players, who do not already exist in the league, will be imported to the team that they played with in real life. The new players that played with a team not represented in our league will be imported into the free agent pool. Prior to the start of each season there will be a 3 round supplemental draft of the free agents. Draft order will be determined by the previous season standings (see "Tiebreaker" section below) regardless of play-off out come. A player will remain on the team they were imported, or drafted, to until the player is dropped, traded, or retires.
IMPORTANT: The option of changing an existing team to one that is not already represented will not be allowed in this league.
2. TEAM DETAILS -- Team details will be locked and not allowed to be changed.
3. SEASON START -- After the final round of the supplemental draft has completed, owners will have 24 hours to drop their rosters to 60 players. At which time the first game of the season will run. There will be 14 games in a season with 24 hours between each game.
4. DRAFTING OFFENSE AND DEFENSE-- Offensive and defensive linemen will be imported / drafted individually by each team.
5. TEAM TRAINING -- We will use the team training option in this league. It will be for only one game at a time.
6. FINAL ROSTER SIZE -- When the games begin, the roster limit will be set to a final 60 players, which includes all defense and o-line players.
7. PROGRESSION -- We use real life progression in this league. Players retire as they do in real life.
8. TRANSACTIONS, TRADES, FREE AGENCY, ETC. -- There will be no free agency in this league. The will be three supplement draft rounds each season after imports. You will be limited to 5 trades per season. The trading of offensive and defensive players can be traded in this league. There is no trading between teams that are owned by the same owner.
9. INJURIES -- There will be no injuries used in this league.
10 TIEBREAKERS -- Head-to-head match up will be used where possible, otherwise team with highest Power Ranking wins. In case of more than two teams, Power Ranking will be used.
11. SCHEDULED OFF DAYS -- There are no bye weeks in this league.
13. POST-SEASON -- Division winners will be ranked 1-2 in their respective conferences. The two best non-division winners in each conference will be wild card teams, and will be ranked 3-4 in their respective conferences. The division winners will be the home team against non-division winners regardless of their records. When division winners play one another, the team with the best record shall be the home team (see "Tiebreaker" section above). Teams will get re-seeded so the best team plays the lowest available seed in the second round and all subsequent rounds.
14. POST-SEASON AWARDS -- All awards, such as, MVP, Defensive Player of the Year is posted in the history part of our sight by using the drop down at the top of the page.
