League Rules

The regular season will consist of a 12 game schedule over 14 weeks, giving each team two byes.
The schedule will use the BigTen protected games in 2024 Flex Protect Plus schedule. These currently are:

Indiana vs. Purdue
Illinois vs. Northwestern, Illinois vs. Purdue
Iowa vs. Nebraska, Iowa vs Minnesota, and Iowa vs. Wisconsin
Maryland vs. Rutgers
Minnesota vs. Wisconsin
Michigan vs. Ohio State and Michigan vs. Michigan State
USC vs. UCLA
Washington vs Oregon

This list may be adjusted in the future if the BigTen adjusts it in real-life.

Playoffs

The playoffs will consist of a six team, single elimination tournament with the top two teams receiving first round byes.
One week off will be granted prior to the beginning of the tournament. There will be no weeks off during the tournament.

Rosters

Maximum Roster size: ____ players.
There are minimum roster requirements for sims to run:

11 defensive players
5 O-line
6 skill players
1 QB (3)
1 RB (4-5)
3 WR (6-5)
1 TE
1 Kicker
1 Punter

Filling The Roster

There are three ways to fill your team roster: Signing Day, the Transfer Portal, and Walk-ons. Understand how these work and plan ahead.

Signing Day

Before the season there will be a combination of a Live/Slow draft and supplemental drafts.
After scholarship signings, the all undrafted players will be removed (retired or deleted) as they will have signed at non-BigTen schools.
The draft order for Signing Day will be best-to-worst for the first ______ (5, 10?) rounds, then will reverse to worst-to-best.

Transfer Portal

After Scholarship signings, 300 players will enter the transfer portal (be created) and there will be ____________ (a draft, a series of supplemental drafts, or a period of waiver signings).
After this period transfer portal players will be removed (retired or deleted).
The draft order for Transfer Portal signings will be best-to-worst for the first ______ (2,3?) rounds, then will reverse to worst-to-best.
The Transfer Portal will be incoming only. No scholarship players on your roster will leave your team via the Transfer Portal.

Walk-ons

After Transfer Portal signings, each team will receive ______ (5, 10, 15?) players through random creation.
These walk-ons may be kept on the roster or dropped, though some will need to be dropped if the roster is over the limit.
Walk-ons will not return for the following season unless they are signed to a scholarship.

Scholarships

All players recruited and added to the roster via Signing Day and the Transfer Portal will have scholarships for the remainder of their college career.
Following Transfer Portal signings, the Commissioner will make sure all players on the roster have scholarships.
