League Rules
Season 40 Draft SelectionsTeam owners will draft players from a pool of free agent players during the decades of 1960-1989. Players cannot be duplicated. There will be a ranked player snake draft for 15 rounds. Teams are to draft all 8 position players + a DH hitter, 3 SPs and 3 RPs. The DH can be any position player. The next 5 rounds of free agent drafts will be based on the AI computed “strength” order for weakest teams to draft first each round. The remaining 6 players on the active roster will be selected via 2 scheduled free agent signing periods of 3 players each.
After games begin, all teams can sign 4 free agents at will for their minors rosters as desired.
Rosters will consist of 26 active players and 4
minors players this season. After the team rosters are loaded, lineups and rotations can be set to begin playing. The active roster will include 5SP/5RP as pitcher minimums as we will use a 5 man rotation for starting pitching. Injuries will be turned off, trades are not allowed.

N/A - Players will be from a single franchise club.
N/A - Players can NOT be drafted but once per owner, but CAN be drafted by multiple owners.
N/A - Owners to draft from any season. Owners may select the same exact seasons. Research top teams and/or top players statistically to choose seasons for the draft.
N/A - The commissioner will then import the chosen teams/seasons for owners to select players as a free agent draft.
N/A - Owners Draft from a list of players as available from 5 seasons: 1960, 1970, 1980, 1990, and 2000. This should provide a good list of star players for all teams to have competitive balance.
N/A - All teams will select and rank a list of free agent players from 1900-2023 (draft order below) to be drafted one round at a time when the draft starts. Draft rounds will take place 4 times per day at 8am-2pm-6pm and 8pm or close to that schedule as possible.
