League Rules

2000 MLB Season

Commissioner may add or amend rules ar any time.


Conduct: It's fine to agree to disagree,but be nice.
Activity: Owners are expected to be active and perform owners duties.
Rosters: Team rosters will be 25/11
Schedule: Regular season 162 games

Playoffs:

Off Day granted before start of playoffs, and again before each round
All series are 7 games
Division Winners will get top 2 seeds in Each League, plus 2 Wild Card teams.
#1 vs #4 seed, #2 vs #3 seed.... better seed gets Home Field advantage (4 vs 3 games)
Each series is 2-3-2 format.
Best seed will receive home field advantage in following rounds.

World Series: Best of 7 games between American and National league winners

Classic Progression will be used. Progress until 28. Regress starting at 34.

Imports: Players from your next year's roster will be imported, as long as they are already not in league. Hitters will have a minimum of 135 AB'S or 75 IP for SP and 35 IP for RP, so that they can progress at season end.

Trades: Every team will have 5 trades in a season.

Fatigue and injury will not be used in this league.

Slump Busters will be limited to 15 games instead of unlimited.

Budgets: none

Contracts: None

FA bidding: None.

Trades on until game 140.

Keepers: No keepers, but you keep every player on your roster unless you trade or drop them.

Rotation: 5 man pitching rotation

Free Agent Pool: FA will open with waiver round on game 10, 20, 30. Additional rounds can be run at owners request to commissioner and put to a vote. Current standings will determine draft order. One player per round. This is to keep one team from getting all the better players.
