League Rules

============================================================================================================
Welcome to Bygone Ballclubs & Ballplayers
Commissioner: BroBOTiK69
Vice-Commissioner: At Large
============================================================================================================

The concept:

YOU NEED TO BE AN ACTIVE PARTICIPANT

162 Games (72 in division)
Sims every 2-4ish hours
All players from 1890-1960
27 man rosters with 13 flex minor(s) spots totaling 40 players
- on rosters; That 27 number is a fluid number, if you want to carry the minimum players (same thing with the contracts) feel free to do that. If you want to run your team like it?s just a bunch of mercenaries on Y2Y deals have at it. Just don?t exceed the max numbers.
All-Star Break (First Open Day after game 100)
Free Agency closes at game 100
Trade Deadline closes at game 100
4 trades per team per season
Contract players/Keepers (up to 25. You are responsible for knowing your roster and contract situations.
Playoff format (2-3-2)
Best record determines playoff seeding and home field advantage
Off-season draft in off-season will contain all rookies and free agents (non contracted players)
Draft format is snake 1-18 / 18-1
Draft position is determined off end of season standings
Best record gets 1st pick and down
The draft will now be 6 rounds.
All owners have a preassigned draft time; 1st pick will be at 10am EST with the final pick 14 hours later 1200am EST.
Times will be assigned at the start of the off season period.
If you do not make a choice in your allotted time, an Outfielder will be automatically selected for you.
The day following the draft; free agency will open
All Free Agents are on a first come first serve basis after computer owned teams are filled.
I will add a large amount of Negro Leaguers/ Minor Leaguers & Japanese players to this league as long as they are before the cut off date (1960)
League will eventually proceed past 1960 players over time
DO NOT sign free agents with a 2021 year or higher with a contract
All teams will need to fit within historical context, ie no longer existing
If you keep leaving and re joining (Majestic44) I?m going to stop letting you in at a certain point. -just stay the course
There are competitive balancing rules in place, and much like real life. It might take a few seasons to go from cellar to competitor.
Contract reset for new users is on a case by case basis - message me

Look I actually monitor all of these teams daily, and there are a lot of owners that know each other personally. If you aren?t one of them the best suggestion is to use the chat box and messages, outsiders are welcome?but past users have made me proceed down that route with some trepidation.

Feel free to ask me any questions
