Rock N Roll Football LeagueType
Real Progression League. If your player used 1973 stats during a season the following season he will use 1974 stats. If he did not play in 1974 he will be retired.
Franchises
This will be an 8-team league. Each team will play Home/Away against every franchise for a 14-game season. Helmets and team names based on Rock N Roll bands. Rosters will be limited to 50.
Playoffs
The regular season champion will host the League Championship Game. The regular season second seed will host the third seed for the right to play in the title game. We will use Gbacci's Automatic Playoff Builder.
Tiebreakers
Two team tiebreakers will be determined by Head to Head. More than two teams will use Power Rankings.
Initial draft order
Players will be asked for the total points scored in a nationally televised game to be determined when the league fills. The closest will select draft position and so on. Ties will go to the under. Example total is 35 points. A=37 B=33 C= 41 D= 28. The selection order would be B, A, C, D.
Initial draft
The first draft will be a snake draft. The available players will be a collection players from 1973, 1993 and 2013 seasons. At the end of the draft you can use stat change to select the starting season.
Seasonal draft
Every season the draft will be filled by players from a certain year. The draft will be a four rounds and you may request which year you want to start the player's career.
The order will be the opposite of the regular season standings with the League Champion drafting last. This will be the order of the draft classes: 1983 2003 2023 1978 1988 1998 2008 2018 1972 1982 1992 2002 2012 2022 1977 1987 2007 2017 1970 1980 1990 2000 2010 2020 1976 1986 1996 2006 2016 1974 1984 1994 1971 1981 1991 2001 2011 2021 2004 2014 2024 1979 1989 1999 2009 2019 1975 1985 1995 2005 2015 2025.
Skip season rule
Every season every franchise has the option to skip any two players ahead to a future season. These selections must be sent to Dzach before progressions are run which typically be the day after the Championship game. You can use this to avoid a missing season or for any reason. It does not have to be a missing year.
No Kicker or Punter rule
If you discover after the draft you do not have a kicker or punter you may select one but you have to either forfeit your last draft pick or forfeit your first round pick in the next draft.
Free agents
There will be no free agents. All non-drafted players will be deleted after the draft and be eligible
Injuries & Training
Injuries will be turned off but training will be turned on.
Ownership
Owners may only have one team.
Trades
Trades are allowed. Commissioners will only intervene in extreme circumstances.
