League Rules

Best of the Best - 1970 - 2021 Rules:

Premise - Similar to Favorite Teams or the Best of the Best leagues in baseball, this league allows owners to take control of respective franchises and pick their best seasons to import, create dream rosters and compete for the best roster of all time.

Drafting Teams - Initial Draft will take place after random numbers generated and given to each owner, in future drafts it will be based off of previous season's placements

Season Schedule- 17 Week schedule similar to IRL NFL schedule where a given team will play the following:
-Six games against divisional opponents — two games per team, one at home and one on the road.
-Four games against teams from a division within its conference — two games at home and two on the road.
-Four games against teams from a division in the other conference— two games at home and two on the road.
-Two games against teams from the two remaining divisions in its own conference — one game at home and one on the road. Matchups are based on division ranking from the previous season.
-The new 17th game is an additional game against a non-conference opponent from a division that the team is not scheduled to play. Matchups are based on division ranking from the previous season.

Drafting teams - Once your team is picked you may select 2 Seasons from your team's history to have imported. Because of historical differences, certain teams will have access to additional One-off players from any season. This total allowed will change over time, but for season 1 the numbers are as follows:

Rosters - Teams will be expected to maintain a roster of 53 players with a minimum of 22 on O or D and positional minimums

Trading - Each team will be allowed to draft once drops are turned off up until the week 8 trade deadline. No major roster swaps will be allowed, IE trades can only contain up to 3 players per team (or 6 players total) and each team can only complete 7 trades in any season
