Poll Question Explanation - Reboot Team Distribution
We are cutting 6 teams in order to facilitate the reboot to 1969. There is no 'fair' way to distribute the teams remaining teams. This is my best attempt to come up with a reasonable way to move forward on this issue. Each answer is described below. Please make sure you vote.Option 1; Mandatory Draft - All teams will participate in a redistribution draft. Draft order will be determined by the order of standings Best to Worst, The World Series winner will receive the #1 draft pick. Supplemental Draft order will be the same order as the team redistribution draft.
Option 2: Voluntary Draft - All teams that want to opt out of the draft must declare their intentions prior to the 2025 season. Draft order will be the same as in the mandatory draft. All teams that opt out of the draft will be moved to the bottom of the Supplemental Draft order.
Option 3: No Draft - All owners will keep their existing teams. Owners of the teams that are being eliminated will have first priority on the waiting list to take over teams that become available.

Future of the League
This league will be rebooting at the end of the 2025 season. I will be using this space, to keep owners informed on the progress of the reboot. As always, feedback regarding the reboot is greatly appreciated. As per the league poll, we will be rebooting to the 1969 season.
When we first started discussing the prospect of a reboot, the league had 26 owners, with 23 indicating that they planned to stick around for the reboot and 1 owner not being sure. Since then, more owners have joined our league. We are now full.
Most owners are currently not managing their favourite teams. Some owners have also indicated that while they like the current 2020s versions of their team, they are not as excited about managing the 1970s version of that same team.
I would like there to be some incentives for owners to stay active with their 2025 teams, instead of just waiting for the reboot.
I have been tossing an idea around, that could potentially address these issues. I would really like some feedback, as there is room for tweaking before it is put up to a league vote.
I propose that we have a draft, where owners draft the team that they want to play. The order of the draft will be in order of the standings (Best to Worst) with the World Series Champion receiving the first overall pick. The bottom 6 owners will be put on the waiting list, for the first team to become available.
What do you think?
Rules Changes:
*Roster Limits: Pre-Season 27 Players, Season: 30 Players
*Supplemental Draft: 2 Rounds, followed by waiver wire.
*If a player is going to miss a season, (stats under league minimum, didn't play), in order for the current team to retain the rights to the player upon their return, they must play a single regular season game. If a team does not exercise their rights to retain a player, they will become a free agent upon their return to the league.

Jason Adam - Player Acquisition
ehwhy
I don't normally reverse free agency acquisitions. For transparency purposes I want to make clear the events involved around Jason Adam.
The owner of the Royals is relatively new to PC. In an attempt to acquire a player on the waiver market, Jason Adam was dropped instead of the intended player. As Adam is ranked 97, and is at the top of the alphabet, it is clear that this was a mistake.
The owner of the Royals notified me of the mistake, while Adam was still in the Free Agent pool. Unfortunately, I did not see the message before he was acquired by the Phillies.
I have returned Jason Adam to the Royals. I manually dropped the player originally intended.
I hope this clarifies the situation and we can move forward with the 2024 season.
