Welcome to the Auto League

Auto Leagues are seasons that last about two months, with 2 or 3 sims per day. Since this league is run with essentially no commissioner, there is a trade limit. Please be reasonable with your transactions, and report any bad owners using the feedback form.

League Status:
Season underway.

Draft Type:
Quick Draft

Owners Joined:
12 of 12

You can draft your team as soon as you sign up! You will select one player from each positional group until you have 23 players. (The Draft link appears on the league homepage and your team page when you are signed in.)

The draft only represents a random subset of players available. Once the season begins, you can adjust your roster via free agency or trades. (You can carry up to 25 players on your major league roster.)

Supplemental Draft
Once the season begins, you can start ranking players for the supplemental drafts, which take place after Games 2 & 3. Free agency (waivers) will open after the Supplemental Draft runs on Day 4. Please be sure to read the League Rules for further details!

This is a Keeper League, which means you have $50 million to spend on keepers for next season. You must sign at least one player to a contract before the season ends, or you'll automatically be removed from the league after the World Series. Players under contract remain on their teams, all other players return to free agency for the next Quick Draft.

When do games start?
After all teams have an owner and have drafted, the games will begin. You will get an email after the first game notifying you that the league has started.

What time are games played?
Barring any issues with the servers, games are auto-simmed 2 or 3 times a day, starting as early as 1:00am and ending as late as 11:00pm Pacific Time. Users can sim games from the My League List page every eight hours. This allows the league to keep moving if the server has issues or the participants in the league want to move the season along slightly faster than the auto sims allow. There will always be at least eight hours between games so managers can react if desired.

Can I customize my team?
Yes! You can change your team name, logo, and more via the "Owner Console" on your "My Team" page before the season begins and up until the 5th game of the season.

World Series and post-season
Division winners and one wild card reach the post-season. Owners can leave the league once their team is elimnated, or wait until the playoffs are over and re-draft the next season.

I'm always eager to here what you enjoy or think can be improved with the site, so stay in touch via the feedback form and follow site updates on the news & notes page.

7/16/2019 Can anyone explain this??yankeebb
There is no way player B was ranked 50s, below player A, and is now ranked 99, ahead of player A. The order they were ranked wouldn’t change.

The players you mentioned:

1.40 WHIP 8.3H 5.4K 99 rank
1.41 WHIP 8.7H 4.0K 87 rank
1.42 WHIP 8.9H 6.0K 84 rank

And their rank matches their WHIP and H9, showing how K9 is weighed less as it didn’t help spring that 3rd guy up where the 2nd is despite close WHIP and H9. Nothing surprising here. The change Guy made didn’t change the order they are ranked, just the numbers used to rank them. Before maybe those guys were ranked 95, 80, 75 and now it’s 99, 87, 84. What changed so drastically in your eyes between those 3 compared to each other? They remain in the same order he just evened out how many are in the 90s, 80s, etc. Your concern, that the 87 guy should be much lower than the 99 guy, has to do with the other players in the league. If there are a lot in between them the 87 guy would rank lower. If he was the next best pitcher in the league he’d also be a 99 or 98. Depends on the other players in that specific league more now, like it should.

As for changing a player to a different season, which I guess you can do in that league, you couldn’t know what they’d be ranked before either without actually bringing them into the league. I don’t see what changed. Guy already said pitchers were never a straight average of the 3, just hitters were.

I just looked at the RPs in that league. There’s a 47 ranked guy with 1.50 WHIP 6.3 H9 5.4 K9. This truly shows how much WHIP affects total rank. His H9 is top in the league and 2.0 less than the 99 rank pitcher, but the near lowest league WHIP drops him to 47 wow.

I think the weirdness of that league, the low range of WHIPs (all RPs have between 1.40 and 1.54 WHIP) contributes to odd things you see. But the order should never have changed between the players you listed as player B is better in all 3 categories than player A
