Position Changes - Baseball-reference.com will be the source.
a. A Position player can change their position in the following ways:
i. Select a position they played during that particular season.
ii. Swap their primary and secondary position.
iii. If a players secondary position is IF (1B/IF, 2B/IF, SS/IF, 3B/IF), they may change their primary position to any IF (not C) position. The secondary position cannot remain as IF but must be a position they played that season.
b. A Pitcher cannot change their position.
Some leagues use fictional player progression. To learn more about how players progress, check the Player Potential page.
