I'm still learning the basketball game but what I don't understand is how a player whose shot share is 24% and that player plays 32 minutes yet he only takes 3 shots ?
What am I missing ?

he may have been double teamed, did this happen just once? how do you know its 24%?

Happened 2 straight games .
Kevin McHale , I have him with a 2% boost which shows his shot share is 24%.
Then his 3rd game he took 9 shots.
Just trying to figure this out

Maybe he was guarded well? if he can't get the ball, he can't shoot

I get that but he's only averaging 7.8 shots per game and he averaged 15.9 shots per game that season. Plus I have him at a +2 on shot share.
Not complaining just cannot figure it out.
Guess I'm just a bad coach 😉

It would help to see the actual team. It’s been noted here that if the shot shares are generally balanced the guards tend to get more shots. It may not be your fault but something I have to look at in the code. What’s been mentioned above is also true, if opponents double team that can significantly drop shot share.

It will also depend on the other players on the team and their shot share. If he is +2% and everyone else is normal, there wont be a big difference. Especially if they are all shooters on a mormal basis.
