Re: Any Metal Fans Out There ?
Anything by Bowie *first four albums, J. Browne, Green Day, Renaissance, Yes *2nd, 3rd, 4th albums, B. Raitt, LIttle Feat, Dylan, Beatles. Rimsky-Korsakov, most cello based music. The net is wide.
Re: Any Metal Fans Out There ?
Eagles, Boston, U2, Pear Jam, STP, Earth, Wind, and Fire, Neil Diamond, Maverick City Music, Phil Wickham, Morgan Wallen, Santana, Jean Luc Ponte. Who doesn't like some electric Violin.
Re: Re: Any Metal Fans Out There ?
Rimsky-Korsakov - love it!! Rachmaninoff, Rameau, Pachelbel, Handel, etc. Bruce Cockburn, Sarah McLachlan, Eagles, Beatles, Beach Boys, Alabama, BTO, ABBA, Neil Diamond, Air Supply, Huey Lewis, Rod Stewart, … … lots more. Weird, right? But that’s me.
Re: Any Metal Fans Out There ?
Weird? No. Just variations of a theme.
Forgot Mott the Hoople, ELO and TODD.

Re: Re: Any Metal Fans Out There ?
Going to see a great 80s hair metal tribute band fittingly Halloween night (Spandixx)! Great mix of Crüe, GnR, Def Leppard, Warrant, Ratt, Poison, Ozzy, etc.
I love this stuff but more of a 90s grunge / alternative guy (Tool, STP, Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Smashing Pumpkins, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Mad Season, I Mother Earth, Finger Eleven, Collective Soul) and absolutely love Beck.

Re: Any Metal Fans Out There ?
Funniest band name I've seen in a while is a 70's soft rock tribute band calling themselves Yachtly Crue
Re: Any Metal Fans Out There ?
Yeah a little too young I guess, but also just liked BTO a bit better. Plus I usually only like a few songs from each band, so don’t actually have any real favorites.
Re: Re: Any Metal Fans Out There ?
In one of the weirdest concerts I ever attended, I was BTO open for the Eagles in 1974 at the Coliseum in Evansville , Indiana. Weird because these were the "Peaceful Easy Feeling" Eagles. I may have seen the Eagles more than any other band (at least 4 times) -not because I'm a huge fan, but because it just worked out that way. I've seen Weird Al Yankovic and Bob Dylan 3 times each (but not together😎) . My 1st Concert was Grand Funk Railroad in 1971. Saw the Stones in 1972 and 1994. And of course, Frank Zappa at Stanford University 1977 with Flo and Eddie in the band. I've seen Iron Maiden (with Anthrax) and Dwight Yoakam live (again, not together). I had to suffer through 2 Three Dog Night concerts in the early 70's because my 1st ex-wife was a fan. I saw Steve Miller twice - one when he was a serious Blues guy, and when he was the "Space Cowboy". Saw Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers twice, Eric Clapton, Led Zeppelin (1973), Nine Inch Nails (twice), Chuck Berry and Lightnin' Hopkins, Aerosmith (twice), Blue Oyster Cult, Savoy Brown The Monkees, Faith No More (twice), Leo Kottke, Toots and the Maytals, Weezer, Johnny Winter with opening act Montrose, David Bowie (Spiders From Mars tour), Linda Ronstadt with Jackson Brown and the Eagles (Dodger Stadium), Elton John (Goodbye Yellow Brick Road Tour), The Tubes, Elvin Bishop - I'm sure there's a lot more, Regret not seeing the Who or ZZ Top.
Re: Any Metal Fans Out There ?
Craziest pairing of all time would have to be Jimi Hendrix opening for the Monkees !!!
Re: Re: Any Metal Fans Out There ?
First concert was Doobie Bros at the Nw Haven Coliseum. Also saw Beatlemania with my father.
The Eagles concert was 1980 outdoors at the Yale Bowl with Littler River Band and Heart.
ELO was a great concert song with Loverboy open for Journey early 82.

Re: Any Metal Fans Out There ?
Forgot about the Doobie Brothers - saw them with and without Michael McDonald - with him at the Santa Barbara Bowl in Santa Barbara, Calif. Also have seen REO Speedwagon twice. One I'm embarrassed to admit is England Dan and John Ford Coley - a girl I was dating had to see them (they sucked).
Re: Re: Any Metal Fans Out There ?
So what your saying is that you really wouldn't love to see them tonight ? lol
