I don't really get how it works either, it has been stuck at three "points" but I don't know how it determines points.

Definitely something off with the point logic. There were 3 when I upvoted, which put it to 4. Now it says 3 again.

I haven't tried the others, but I am willing to bet they do not offer stats for records.
The best apps track your records and provide "badges" or some other minor prize for reaching certain goals. This, understandably, makes the app multiple times more difficult and costly to maintain, but databases and records are certainly what keep PC addictive.
