Those "smaller" media events can be awesome. When I lived in Ct I would go to Quinnipiac and Yale hockey. Excellent NCAA hockey and both teams have won or been in the frozen four several times in he last 10 yrs.
I will drop some cash a couple of times a year with my wife to go to an mLB game. I have probably gone to my last NFL game. Went to dozens of Giants games in the 80's and 90's. Now NFL is way too rich for my blood along with the NHL. Been to a dozen or so Bruins games in Boston and in Tampa, (one in LA yrs ago) but unless someone calls me and says they have an extra and happy birthday, those days are gone! lol. I still think baseball has the best "value" and I use the term loosely. Minor league ball is fun and reasonable.
