Sandbox league issue
I don’t think I set up my sandbox league correctly. I simmed the first few games of my 1999 replay and most of them went into extra innings. We’re not talking 10 or 11 innings but 45 innings once and over 20 at least twice. I didn’t even check who was pitching at the end of those games. Probably the bat boy. Any recommendations for a newbie trying to figure this out?

@Rcropf in commish tools, go to Adjust Stat Levels - just visiting that page will set your player Ranks.. something seems odd with no players having any ranks... I'll work on putting a fix in so this doesn't happen moving forward, but that should clear things up.

One of them went an astonishing 67 innings. The losing pitcher went 20 innings and threw almost 300 pitches. Now that hurts. This reminds me of that Kinsella novel - the Iowa Baseball Confederacy. This is now my favourite all-time box score ever on PC:

One thing I noticed is that he has pitcher home runs allowed turned off . This reminds me of about 10 yrs or so ago when we switched to this format and the same thing happened , 50--60 inning games with 1-0 scores . Anyone else remember that ?

Best pitching game in history…the game had 91 K’s and only 5 BB’s. The Brewers pitched 67 innings, gave up only 2 hits and 1 walk.

Tied for the 4th longest game in MLB history, on Sept 1, 1906 the A's beat the Americans 4-1 in 24 innings. Both SP's, Jack Coombs and Joe Harris, pitched CG's. The newspaper account of the game is classic "The Athletics scored 3 times in the 24th inning as Boston starter Harris suddenly tired". Suddenly?
