Long time player gone missing
Long time player gone missing
Hi
Longterm owner Jimorack has gone missing for over two weeks. He’s been a stalwart owner in a couple of my leagues. Anyone know of his whereabouts?
Cheers

Re: Long time player gone missing
Thanks for the heads up. He is in one of my leagues and been gone 17 days. We just had our playoffs so I didn't notice him missing and I have been on the road a lot.

Not sure if this solves things as I think there was owner activity after the time of death, but maybe that was a relative who had legacy access?
UPDATE: There seems to be growing sentiment that this isn't the missing owner. Apologies for any possible misdirection. I'd eliminate this entry but it would throw off the context of subsequent responses.

His fav team is listed as LA Angels, do we know for sure he’s from Pittsburgh area? He also had logins well past 7/2.
Re: Re: Long time player gone missing
Yes, there are discrepancies, but this was the closest info to come up from a deep-dive web search that addressed the guy's sudden disappearance from the site. As speculated, it's possible that log-ins after someone's death can be attributed to a survivor assigned legacy access to the deceased's computer, passwords, favorite websites, etc.
Who maybe it's a different Jim Morack who's still out there somewhere but has gone MIA for some other reason. Might also be that Jim Morack is a pseudonym.
For now the mystery remains unsolved and it may remain that way unless some other owner had specific dealings/communications with him that could shed more light on things.
And R.I.P. to the guy in the obits, regardless. Way too young for anyone to be called off the field...

Re: Long time player gone missing
Jimmorack first played in a league I was running back in 2012. From my conversations with him I always thought of him as older than the person in this obituary.
Re: Re: Long time player gone missing
That is good additional info, thanks @littlepadre I don’t think it’s lining up that this is the right person (although I agree with RIP for the person noted, much too young to go). That said, it’s unfortunate to see he’s been gone for a month now, hopefully he is ok.
