Waivers question
Waivers question
I had set waivers to run automatically this morning at 7:am Pacific time in one of my custom leagues. Set it up in Commish tools, which automatically sent a message out to all owners saying that Waivers would run on that date at that time. But nothing happened.
I ended up just running them manually, so no big deal, but my question is - did I miss a step? Is there a glitch? Just wondering.

Re: Waivers question
@GusPC13 looks like a glitch, fixed it so it should work next time you try it... lemme know if not....
Re: Re: Waivers question
Thanks @gbacci - it worked perfectly this morning. Next question - I know it used to be that once you had a full roster you could still use waivers if you named a player on your current team to drop, and then it would drop that guy and pick someone from your list at the same time.
My roster is now full, but I don’t see anywhere to name the player I want to be replaced next time waivers runs. Does it work differently now?

Re: Waivers question
@GusPC13 can you point me to the league/team where you're not seeing it? I am seeing it ok... You should see a -- Select Player -- drop down - one thing that changed a bit ago is that it no longer defaults to your first alphabetical player, so maybe that is throwing you?
Re: Re: Waivers question
Thanks, Guy - it’s Classic Rewind - League 904. Specifically my Twins page but I assume other owners are also not seeing it - I don’t see any drop down menu for players, just for teams, I guess that’s for a case where an owner has more than one team, but nothing for players to drop.
Edited*** some new info. Now I see that when I try to add an additional player to my waivers list it asks which player I want to drop, so I could do that, but what about if I didn’t want to add any new players to the waiver list. I’ve already got a long list but with no option to name a player to drop, I suspect others in the league will have the same issue and not know to add another player to their list just to trigger the “name a player to drop” option.

Re: Waivers question
@GusPC13 that seems to be working as expected. The dropped player has to be attached to an acquired player, but there can be a simultaneous claim to acquire a player without dropping a player (because you could have roster space initially but have other claims fill your roster mid-Waivers). So you need to create a new claim for each of those players with a dropped player attached. If you want to quickly create several claims with the same dropped player, you can use the new Bulk claims page which is linked at the top of the Waivers page.
Re: Re: Waivers question
Ok I think I understand that. So if you have that list of players on your waivers list and they aren’t attached to a player to drop, then the waiver draft will ignore you, as though you don’t have a list at all? Okay, I’ll warn the other owners in case they don’t know about that. Thanks, @gbacci
Re: Waivers question
@GusPC13 That's right - if you have a claim without a drop but have no roster space, it's basically an empty claim and won't do anything.
