seriously??
seriously??
heading into a game 7 and the sim decides that my closer is unavailable!! i understand it is a sim but there is zero chance this would happen!! i deserve to lose after blowing a 3-1 series lead but that just makes no sense! sadly this is not the first time this situation has happened. players should really get a little endurance boost in the post-season to more realistically simulate the playoffs
Re: seriously??
Realistic though, would be that you can use them, but there is a reduction in stats .
I don’t think having your bullpen not had stamina issues in a game 7, because that’s not realistic either

Re: Re: seriously??
@SleazyE , i agree maybe diminished endurance, so ended up winning game 7, starter went 8 1/3. for some reason they opted for my #3 reliever instead of my setup man. #3 allowed 2 quick base runners to load the bases but managed to escape the jam! i know nothing will ever be perfect with a sim but really should have guys available even if diminished a bit. fortunately, all ended well
Re: seriously??
If you go to settings and say "No" to allowing managers to rest tired players, does that include pitching rest?
Re: seriously??
happening again!! heading to game 7 and closer out after throwing 35 pitches in 4 games!! just would not happen. hopefully get another complete game from my starter but this is just not realistic. i hate to complain about a sim but this just wouldn't happen. oh well. 23 in game 6 0 in 5 and 6 in game 4, doesn't seem overworked! surprised my set up guy is not out as well. he threw 22. my opponent is in the same boat i guess but seems to me it should be all hands on deck
Re: Re: seriously??
Maybe it's just me, but I just don't stress out that much about this stuff. Normally, in Autos, I use 6 relievers and no designated closer set by rank. In the playoffs, I'll move a SP to long man. Otherwise, I might set matchups for 8th inning + if I have 3 LH and 3RH relievers. My advise is to not sweat the small stuff.
Re: seriously??
@sheikyerboudi . not really sweating it, just find it odd. makes it even more annoying when they bypass the set up guy and #2 guy by priority in a tie game for the 9th and 10th inning so my #5 guy can blow the series. also had my #5 starter as a long man but he didn.t make an appearance. i guess i should reorder my guys after every game but don't always have the opportunity, such is life
